Arka

Abstract: The Arka is a new re-constructed rocking chair that brings a more aesthetic piece of furniture to your home, at the same time reducing stress, anxiety, pain and discomfort. Since the outbreak of Covid-19 we were forced to work from home, this meant that all of our stress from work/ school were now in our safe and calming home. This trend is still shown today. The main focus of this bachelor project was to create a newer and more pleasing rocking chair which you want to use and not just look at. But it also helps to calm your body when at home.
