  1. 11. On the Interaction Between Electromagnetic, Gravitational, and Plasma Related Perturbations on LRS Class II Spacetimes

    University essay from Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysik

    Author : Philip Semrén; [2021]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : In this thesis, we investigate the interaction between electromagnetic, gravitational, and plasma related perturbations on homogeneous and hypersurface orthogonal Locally Rotationally Symmetric (LRS) class II spacetimes. By using these spacetimes, which allow for the inclusion of a non-zero magnetic field, as backgrounds in a perturbative approach, we are able to see interactions between the electromagnetic and gravitational variables already to first order in the perturbations. 2. 12. Power Focusing with Intelligent Reflective Surfaces for Wireless Indoor Communication Systems

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik

    Author : Mingye Gong; [2021]
    Keywords : Intelligent Reflective Surfaces IRS ; 6G; MISO; Wireless Indoor Communication Systems; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Intelligent reflective surfaces (IRS) are envisioned to have a significant number of applications in future wireless network systems by reconfiguring the signal propagation to improve system performance. In particular, the IRS's cell elements can independently reflect the incident signal by tuning its phase and achieving passive beamforming to enhance the received signal of the user equipment. 3. 13. Electromagnetic Shielding of Fine Wires for Electrophysiological Sensing

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)

    Author : Simon Mogren; [2020]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Tests have been performed to determine whether electromagnetic shielding of fine wires for electrophysiological sensing is a possible way to reduce the external noise in recording of nervous signals. By shielding the wires with a layer of silver, forming a coaxial cable, a reduction of the received power on the lead of 11. READ MORE

  4. 14. Achieving Optimal Alignments of IR Source and Detector in Waveguide Based Gas Sensor

    University essay from KTH/Medicinteknik och hälsosystem

    Author : Sefik Güler; Agbai Randolph Agwu; [2020]
    Keywords : Non-dispersive infrared technology; microelectromechanical systems; infrared light; electromagnetic spectrum; gas sensor; light emitting diode; photodiode detector; Icke-dispersiv infraröd teknologi; mikroelektromekaniska system; infrarött ljus; elektromagnetiskt spektrum; gassensor; lysdiod; fotodioddetektor;

    Abstract : I takt med att tekniken för mikroelektromekaniska system utvecklas uppkommer det nya områden för tillämpning. Ett område är inom gassensorer där icke-dispersiv infraröd strålning används genom att mäta absorptionen hos olika gaser för att bestämma mängden av en specifik gas i luften. READ MORE

  5. 15. Design of a Disconnect Clutch and Actuator for a 48V P4 Electric Drive Transmission

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Innovation

    Author : Oscar Blomqvist; Matthis Schneider; [2020]
    Keywords : Driveline disconnect; hybrid technology; P4-architecture; electric rear axle; product development.; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : The vehicle industry is making great strides in electric and hybrid technologies, representing a significant step towards reducing emissions from personal vehicles. In order to make the transition to new hybrid technologies as convincing as possible, well-functioning and smooth transitions between traditional combustion engines and electric motors are required.
