  1. 16. Evaluation of bank erosion and stability analysis along Rönne å at Ängelholm, Sweden

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära

    Author : Arnold Mate Kalimukwa; Abuzack Juma Mohamed; [2021]
    Keywords : HEC-RAS; BSTEM; cross section; erosion; sediment transport; deposition; bank stability; safety factor; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : This master thesis report presents the results of evaluation of bank erosion and stability analysis along Rönne å (river) at Ängelholm, located in south-west of Sweden within Scania. The main objectives cover building a hydrodynamic model, studying parameters that define sediment transport, modelling sediment transport within the river, mapping out erosive stretches and comparing to earlier observational study conducted by Norconsult in 2013, and finally conducting analysis of bank stability in most erosive stretches. 2. 17. Assessment of Groundwater Flow to Lake Bolmen

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Väg- och vattenbyggnad (CI); Lunds universitet/Teknisk geologi

    Author : Massimiliano Favaro; [2021]
    Keywords : Groundwater; modelling; MODFLOW; GMS; hydrogeology; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : This work reports the research and findings concerning the processes of groundwater flow and distribution to lake Bolmen in the Småland region, Sweden. The watershed of Bolmen is of high interest since it provides water for drinking and energy purposes, representing a resource of notable importance for the society of southern Sweden. READ MORE

  3. 18. Inversion of SkyTEM Data Based on Geophysical Logging Results for Groundwater Exploration in Örebro, Sweden

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Geovetenskap och miljöteknik

    Author : Andrée Kindlund; [2021]
    Keywords : SkyTEM; hydrogeophysics; geophysical logging; A priori; groundwater exploration;

    Abstract : Declining groundwater tables threatens several municipalities in Sweden which drinking water is collected from. To ensure a sound drinking water supply, the Geological Survey of Sweden has initiated a groundwater exploration plan. READ MORE

  4. 19. Remediation of an arsenic-contaminated anoxic aquifer in hjältevad with zerovalent iron : assessment and modelling of sorption strength and solubility of arsenic

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Soil and Environment

    Author : Kathrin Leicht; [2021]
    Keywords : arsenic remediation; zerovalent iron; anoxic aquifer;

    Abstract : In-situ injection of zerovalent Iron (ZVI) particles to remediate contaminated groundwater is a widely applied approach. However, studies assessing the remediation and immobilisation mechanisms of Arsenic (As) under anoxic field conditions with zerovalent iron particles are lacking, especially for nanosized sulphidated ZVI (S-nZVI) and oxidic shell free ZVI (OSF-nZVI). 5. 20. Modelling of aquifer on Ingarö island : A Steady-State model

    University essay from KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Author : Magnus Dahlberg; [2020]
    Keywords : GMS; MODFLOW; GIS; RCP; climate change; archipelago; esker; glaciofluvial soil;

    Abstract : Värmdö municipality, in the archipelago of Stockholm, has one of Sweden’s fastest growing populations and is a popular location for tourism and summer houses. This puts a lot of pressure on groundwater reservoirs and will likely be even more strained in the future as the climate continues to heat up due to anthropogenic activities. READ MORE
