  1. 1. A case study of SCADA implementation for small electrical producers in WideQuick

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för reglerteknik

    Author : David Karlsson; [2024]
    Keywords : Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : The escalating demand for electricity requires the deployment of reliable, secure, and efficient energy production methods. This master thesis explores the utilization of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems in power plants to meet these requirements. READ MORE

  2. 2. Evaluating Security Mechanisms of Substation Automation Systems

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Ziyang Zhou; [2023]
    Keywords : Substation automation system; Threat modeling; Meta attack language; Stationsautomationssystem; Hotmodellering; Meta attack language;

    Abstract : Substations are important components for transforming voltage and distributing power in electrical infrastructure. Modern substations are usually automated by substation automation systems, which offload the work of operators and reduce potential human error. READ MORE

  3. 3. Sensorless Hybrid Field-Oriented Control Two-Phase Stepper Motor Driver

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Reglerteknik

    Author : Emil Lydell; [2023]
    Keywords : Stepper motor; Field-Oriented Control; FOC; Driver; Two-Phase; 2-Phase;

    Abstract : Hybrid stepper motors are small electrical motors with high torque production, compared with other electrical motors of the same size. Hybrid stepper motors are reliable in open-loop systems, in Sinusoidal mode, but with a drawback of high power consumption. READ MORE

  4. 4. Reprocessing and Characterization of Polybenzimidazole for High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntes

    Author : Douglas Björkengren; [2023]
    Keywords : polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells; PEMFC; HTPEMFC; polymer technology; polymer characterization; reprocessing; recycling; polybenzimidazole; PBI; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : A reprocessing method of poly(2,2’-(m-phenylene)-5,5’-bibenzimidazole) (PBI) membranes recovered from the production line of High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (HT-PEMFC) at Blue World Technologies (BWT) has been developed in order to reduce material loss in the production. Redissolution of scrap PBI membranes in poly(phosphoric acid) (PPA) and phosphoric acid (PA) was successful and the subsequent washing procedure produced PBI that could be redissolved in N,N-dimethyl acetamide (DMAc) and suitable for solution casting of new membranes. 5. 5. Design and implementation of an energy harvesting system in a prosthetic limb

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Ódinn K. Rúnarsson; [2023]
    Keywords : Energy harvesting; Prosthetic limbs; Supercapacitors; Printed circuit boards; 3D printing; Energiinsamling; Lemmproteser; Superkondensatorer; Tryckta kretskort; 3D Utskrivning; Orkuöflun; Gervilimir; Ofurþéttar; Prentaðar rafrásir; Þrívíddarprentun;

    Abstract : Energy Harvesting, also known as power harvesting or ambient power, is the process of obtaining small amounts of power from secondary sources, such as vibrations, light, temperature variations and even radio-frequency emissions. These systems have been uncommon in personal and wearable electronics in the past, however they are slowly gaining traction. READ MORE
