  1. 16. Exotic Hadrons : Classification of Mass Models and Predictions for Non-Strange Dibaryons

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för teknikvetenskap (SCI)

    Author : Jesper Grönroos; Christoffer Beiming; [2021]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : In this report we study theoretical models for calculating mass spectra of exotic hadrons and carry out numerical predictions for selected states. A brief introduction to the Standard Model and other key concepts are presented in order to contextualize and aid the reader. READ MORE

  2. 17. Deployable Base Stations for Mission Critical Communications

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Gokul Panneerselvam; [2021]
    Keywords : UAVs; Load balancing; Wireless networks; Power control; Aerial base stations; 5G Radio; Drones; Genetic Algorithm; UAV: er; Lastbalansering; Trådlösa nätverk; Strömkontroll; Antennbasstationer; 5G -radio; Drönare; Genetisk Algoritm;

    Abstract : Uninterrupted network connectivity is vital for real-time and mission-critical communication networks. The failure of Base Stations due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters or emergencies can affect the coverage and capacity provided by terrestrial communication networks. READ MORE

  3. 18. Numerical simulations using Lattice Boltzmann Method

    University essay from KTH/Strömningsmekanik och Teknisk Akustik

    Author : Mouadh Boubaker; [2021]
    Keywords : Computational fluid mechanics; lattice Boltzmann method; numerical simulations; Beräkningsvätskemekanik; galler Boltzmann -metoden; numeriska simuleringar;

    Abstract : The lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is widely studied andused in the last years to replace the conventional numerical solvers forthe Navier-Stokes equations. In this work, a general introduction tofluid dynamics equations and the changes when the flow is a reactivemulti-species one will be given first. READ MORE

  4. 19. Improving the Efficiency of Thermal Energy Usage in Residential Buildings by Heat Recovery from Wastewater

    University essay from Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för företagande, innovation och hållbarhet

    Author : Pranjal Jain; Khaled Alturkmani; [2021]
    Keywords : Wastewater; Heat Exchangers; Heat Pumps; Biofilms;

    Abstract : This study aims to rationalize the consumption of thermal energy in residential buildings by recovering heat from wastewater inside the building before entering the central sewage network outside the building, by conducting an analytical study for a residential tower in Syria to find out the coverage percentage of the heat energy recovered from wastewater for the heating and domestic hot water loads needed for the tower, and calculating the percentage of reduction in carbon dioxide (CO2) gases. It is a simple technology as the thermal recovery system consists of three main components, which are in order: a wastewater tank, heat exchangers, and a heat pump. READ MORE

  5. 20. Characterization and optimization of Rhodosporidium toruloides for production of lipids

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Kemiteknik (CI)

    Author : Niharika Singh; [2021]
    Keywords : chemical engineering; oily yeasts; lipids; nitrogen limitation; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Oleaginous microorganisms provide an opportunity to produce oils without the use of arable land for cultivation of oil-containing plants. Oleaginous microorganisms are also capable of storing products of pharmaceutical interest alongside storing polymers, which could open new opportunities in the bioplastic industry. READ MORE
