Abstract: This thesis studies the MIT bag-model and derives important equations regarding this model. The masses of the hypothetical glueballs are determined using the MIT bag-model. Five different glueball masses are predicted and the lowest glueball mass is determined to be 0.961 GeV. This is in excellent agreement with similar predictions using the MIT bag-model. Lattice QCD and other nucleon models are compared to the MIT bag-model. Many recent studies using lattice QCD have found the lowest glueball mass to be 1.6 GeV. This result better suits newly discovered glueball candidates, indicating that our calculated mass is to low.
