    Abstract : The present thesis is the result of a research period at the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science of the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency, ISAS/JAXA within Funaki Laboratory of the Department of Space Flight Systems that followed the path of plume plasma diagnostics for space electric propulsion drives. During the experimental studies two high-current hollow cathodes and an innovative prototype of a low-voltage fully external discharge plasma thruster (XPT) had their plasma plumes diagnosed using electrostatic probes and retarding potential analyser (RPA). 2. 2. Fabrication and Validation of a Nano Engineered Glucose Powered Biofuel Cell

    University essay from KTH/Material- och nanofysik

    Author : Srejith Satheesh; [2014]
    Keywords : fuel Cells; Nanotechnology; Nanomaterials; Nanocatalysis; Bifule cells; Glucose;

    Abstract : Fuel Cells are important forms of sustainable power generation and Biofuel Cells utilize the use of bio-compatible/biodegradable molecules as fuels. Glucose is an ideal candidate to serve this purpose. In this project, a Glucose Fuel Cell (GFC) has been fabricated using the nanomaterials developed in the lab. READ MORE

  3. 3. Solar cells based on synthesized nanocrystalline ZnO thin films sensitized by chlorophyll a and photopigments isolated from spinach

    University essay from Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologi

    Author : Kristian Nygren; [2010]
    Keywords : Dye-sensitized solar cell; thin film; Au cathode; nanocrystals; mesoporous; ZnO; chlorophyll; spinach; photopigments; XRD;

    Abstract : The principles of dye-sensitized solar cells were studied and are outlined in this thesis. An overview of the basic steps needed to create a DSC isfollowed by detailed experimental information on how to assemble the solar cells that were fabricated in this project. READ MORE
