  1. 1. Improper Structural Transformation & Stagnant Manufacturing in Post-Independence India: The Role of Agriculture and Inter-Sectoral Linkages

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Ekonomisk-historiska institutionen

    Author : Sai Chandan Kotu; [2022]
    Keywords : Input-Output Matrices; Structural Transformation; Ordinary Least Squares; Agricultural Productivity; Capital Formation; Domestic-Market Linkages; Sustainable and Resilient Structural Change; Services-led growth.; Business and Economics;

    Abstract : India is witnessing an unconventional pattern of structural change – involving a shift to services-dominated economy at lower income per-capita than early industrialisers. Despite significant policy rhetoric on industrialisation, the sector’s share in both value-added and employment has stagnated remarkably. READ MORE

  2. 2. Identication and Prediction of Discrete-Time Bilinear State-Space Models: Interaction Matrices and Superstates

    University essay from KTH/Reglerteknik

    Author : Haris Celik; [2010]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : In this master thesis, an extension of the interaction matrix formulation to the discrete-time bilinear state-space model is derived. Several identication techniques are presented from this formulation to identify the bilinear state-space matrices using a superstate vector, derived from a single set of su-ciently rich input-output measurements. 3. 3. ASSESSMENT OF LEAD AND CADMIUM LOADING IN THE WATER RESOURCES OF KINGSTON, JAMAICA : An application of input-output assessment modelling

    University essay from Institutionen för naturgeografi och kvartärgeologi (INK)

    Author : Khafi Weekes; [2010]
    Keywords : lead; cadmium; hydrology; Jamaica; Caribbean; water resources; input-output assessment;

    Abstract : Input-Output Assessment (IOA) was employed to quantify a likely range of annual lead and cadmium fluxes and to discern their possible flow paths in the water system of the Kingston hydrological catchment in south-eastern Jamaica. This technique was useful to understand how cross-sectoral mass exchanges of these heavy metals ultimately impacted the water resources of the basin. READ MORE
