  1. 1. Using Synthetic Data to ModelMobile User Interface Interactions

    University essay from Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för matematik och datavetenskap (from 2013)

    Author : Laoa Jalal; [2023]
    Keywords : Time Series Data; Generative Adversarial Networks; Synthetic Data Generator; Usability Testing; Machine Learning;

    Abstract : Usability testing within User Interface (UI) is a central part of assuring high-quality UIdesign that provides good user-experiences across multiple user-groups. The processof usability testing often times requires extensive collection of user feedback, preferablyacross multiple user groups, to ensure an unbiased observation of the potential designflaws within the UI design. 2. 2. Towards Building Privacy-Preserving Language Models: Challenges and Insights in Adapting PrivGAN for Generation of Synthetic Clinical Text

    University essay from Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för data- och systemvetenskap

    Author : Atena Nazem; [2023]
    Keywords : Generative Adversarial Networks; privacy-preserving language models; clinical text data; reinforcement learning; synthetic data;

    Abstract : The growing development of artificial intelligence (AI), particularly neural networks, is transforming applications of AI in healthcare, yet it raises significant privacy concerns due to potential data leakage. As neural networks memorise training data, they may inadvertently expose sensitive clinical data to privacy breaches, which can engender serious repercussions like identity theft, fraud, and harmful medical errors. 3. 3. Deep Learning for the prediction of RASER-MRI profiles

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Medie- och Informationsteknik

    Author : Filip Arvidsson; Jonas Bertilson; [2023]
    Keywords : MRI; NMR; AI; Deep Learning; RASER-MRI; Media Technology; KIT; LIU; CNN; Autoencoder; Djupinlärning; Medieteknik; Magnetröntgen;

    Abstract : Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a critical diagnostic tool in medical practice, enabling non-invasive visualization of anatomy and physiological processes. Nonetheless, MRI has inherent spatial resolution limitations, which may limit its diagnostic capabilities. READ MORE

  4. 4. Development of an event generator for antihyperon-hyperon pair production in antiproton-proton collisions

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Kärnfysik

    Author : Vitor Jose Shen; [2022]
    Keywords : MC event generator; Antihyperon-hyperon pair; Antiproton-proton collisions; PANDA; ROOT; 4-vector kinematics; Angular distribution;

    Abstract : The goal of this project was to develop a lightweight Monte-Carlo (MC) event generator for hyperon pair production in antiproton-proton collisions, and demonstrate it in one of the hyperon decay reaction channels, which is collisions of proton and antiproton to lambda hyperon and anti-lambda hyperon, and they decay to antiproton-positive pion pair, and proton-negative pion pair. The prototype of this external MC event generator we presented here is based on the software framework of ROOT. READ MORE

  5. 5. Generating Geospatial Trip DataUsing Deep Neural Networks

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Statistik och maskininlärning

    Author : Ahmed Alhasan; [2022]
    Keywords : Deep Learning; Machine Learning; Statistics; Generative Adversarial Networks; Computer Science; Generative Models;

    Abstract : Synthetic data provides a good alternative to real data when the latter is not sufficientor limited by privacy requirements. In spatio-temporal applications, generating syntheticdata is generally more complex due to the existence of both spatial and temporal dependencies. READ MORE
