  1. 1. Using Molecular Dynamics and Enhanced Sampling to Predict Binding Poses Beyond The Rigid-Docking Approximation

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Biofysikalisk kemi

    Author : Emil Åberg; [2017]
    Keywords : GAFF; FXR; farnesoid X receptor; MD; computational; enhanced sampling; binding; receptor; ligand; Simulations; Reconnaissance; Metadynamics; Docking; Molecular Dynamics; Protein; AMBER; force fields; structure prediction; crystallography; collective variables; potential; bias potential; biophysical chemistry; biofysikalisk kemi; Chemistry; Technology and Engineering; Biology and Life Sciences;

    Abstract : A computational method is described and tested for prediction of ligand-binding poses between the human farnesoid X receptor and a set of 36 potential agonists, provided by the D3R Grand Challenge 2016. Using tools such as Molecular Docking, Molecular Dynamics, Reconnaissance metadynamics and cluster analysis, the method is an attempt to predict the binding pose without being biased by experimental data. 2. 2. Frames That Matter : The Importance of Frames per Second in Games

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för speldesign

    Author : Rickard Hagström; [2015]
    Keywords : Computer Games; Console Games; Frames per Second; Framerate; Hertz; Esports; Movies.;

    Abstract : There's been a lot of debate behind frames per seconds in gaming recently and many people come with all kinds of strange claims. For example, that the eye can only see 30 frames per second, its more “cinematic” and that it is the optimal framerate for games. READ MORE

  3. 3. Positive reinforcement training for laboratory mice

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Clinical Sciences

    Author : Maija Cederwall; [2014]
    Keywords : Mouse; Positive reinforcement; Training; Procedures;

    Abstract : The mouse (Mus musculus) is the most commonly used mammal in biomedical research and can easily be restrained by both hand and by a device. Restraining animals causes stress that not only decreases the animal’s wellbeing, but may also influence the research results. READ MORE

  4. 4. Inokulmmängdens betydelse för utveckling av vetets stråbasröta orsakad Fusarium graminearum : utvärdering av ett biotest

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Forest Mycology and Plant Pathology

    Author : Erik Bertholtz; [2013]
    Keywords : Fussarium graminearum; Biotest; Stråbasröta; Vete;

    Abstract : Fusarium graminearum is one of the most important pathogens on cereals and causes major crop losses around the world. The most cultivated cereal in Sweden is winter wheat. F. graminearum produces both sexual and asexual spores for dispersal. READ MORE

  5. 5. Estimation and Adaptive Smoothing of Camera Orientations for Video Stabilization and Rolling Shutter Correction

    University essay from Reglerteknik

    Author : Nicklas Forslöw; [2011]
    Keywords : camera orientation; video stabilization; rolling shutter; quaternions; EKF; EKFS; videostabilisering; rullande slutare;

    Abstract : Most mobile video-recording devices of today, e.g. cell phones and music players, make use of a Rolling Shutter camera. The camera captures video by recording every frame line-by-line from top to bottom leading to image distortion when either the target or camera is moving. READ MORE
