  1. 1. Modelling Electrical Vehicle Charging Demand with Historical Vehicle Movement Data

    University essay from

    Author : Kristina Markan; Victor Nilsson; [2022-11-29T13:33:09Z 2022-11-29T13:33:09Z 2022 2020]
    Keywords : Electric vehicles; plug-in hybrid electric vehicles; charging infrastructure; vehicle data; mathematical modelling;

    Abstract : In order to meet the environmental goals of 2030 set by the European Union, Sweden needs to build between 90 000 and 260 000 public charging poles in the upcoming eight years. In this thesis we have developed a mathematical model that given a area and time outputs the demand for charging in said area, along with introducing a redundancy value intended to show the tendency of vehicles in the area to stay plugged in to a charging station longer than necessary. 2. 2. Electrically Assisted Turbocharger: Modelling And Control Strategy

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Fordonssystem

    Author : Erik Vandor; Gabriel Ehlin; [2022]
    Keywords : EAT; VGT; VNT; Hybrid powertrain; electric turbocharger;

    Abstract : A major cause of CO2 emissions today is fossil fuel vehicles, and lowering these emissions is of key importance, resulting in increasing electrification and hybridisation nowadays. Turbochargers have been used for a long time to recycle exhaust gas heat losses to improve engine performance by compressing the intake air. READ MORE

  3. 3. Integrated DC fast charger in an electric vehicle

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Industriell elektroteknik och automation

    Author : Christoffer Johansson; Axel von Keyserlingk; [2022]
    Keywords : Boost converter; DC charging; Electric machine; Inverter; Electric vehicle; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : More and more electric vehicles are emerging with a nominal battery voltage higher than what most older DC fast chargers are capable of charging. This requires the vehicle manufacturers to include a high power DC to DC converter in order to be able to charge at these stations, adding cost and complexity. READ MORE

  4. 4. Electric Road Systems: A case study on the bridge of Öresund

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Industriell elektroteknik och automation

    Author : Jakob Svensson; [2022]
    Keywords : Electric road systems; Transportation; Electric Vehicle; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Combustion of fossil fuels is single-handedly the largest contributor of global warming. The transportation sector is responsible for about a third of the greenhouse gas emissions yearly in Sweden. In turn, road traffic makes up the largest share within the transportation. READ MORE

  5. 5. Optimise recharging process for Electro-Mobility using Internet of Things

    University essay from Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap

    Author : Jorge Lorenzo Cortés; Alejandro Casero Sánchez; [2022]
    Keywords : Electro-Mobility; recharging process; Cloud-based systems; Internet of Things; Python;

    Abstract : Climate change is being fought with policies and measures implemented worldwide to reduce Greenhouse Gases (GHG). One of these policies is to reduce the use of fossil fuels because they accelerate climate change and harm human health through pollution. The automotive industry is a significant player in this transition. READ MORE
