  1. 16. Electrical and Optical Characterization of InP Nanowire Ensemble Photodetectors

    University essay from Sektionen för Informationsvetenskap, Data– och Elektroteknik (IDE)

    Author : Tuan Nghia Ngo; Irina Zubritskaya; [2012]
    Keywords : InP; Nanowire; Wurtzite; Zincblende; Photodetector; Semiconductor;

    Abstract : Photodetectors are semiconductor devices that can convert optical signals into electrical signals. There is a wide range of photodetector applications such as fiber optics communication, infrared heat camera sensors, as well as in equipment used for medical and military purposes. READ MORE

  2. 17. Spin Polarization and Conductance in Quantum Wires under External Bias Potentials

    University essay from Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologi

    Author : Hans Lind; [2010]
    Keywords : Electron; Spin; Polarization; Quantum; Quantum Wire; GaAs; Gallium Arsenide; Quantization; Conductance;

    Abstract : We study the spin polarization and conductance in infinitely long quasi one-dimensionalquantum wires under various conditions in an attempt to reproduce and to explain some of theanomalous conductance features as seen in various experiments. In order to accomplish thistask we create an idealized model of a quantum wire in a split-gate semiconductorheterostructure and we perform self-consistent Hartree-Fock calculations to determine theelectron occupation and spin polarization. 3. 18. Automotive Radar Demonstrator : Phase-locked loop and filterdesign

    University essay from Institutionen för teknik och naturvetenskap

    Author : Nima Parash Par; [2009]
    Keywords : Radar; IF-filter; PLL; automotive; GaAs; SiGe;

    Abstract :   As technique and requirement of today’s products keeps expending, Acreo AB has been researching for automotive radar that fulfills these requirements, e.g. higher resolution, faster system and lower cost. The purpose of this master thesis work has been to evaluate a previous design and implement changes. READ MORE

  4. 19. Design of a MMIC serial to parallel converter in Gallium Arsenide.

    University essay from Institutionen för systemteknik

    Author : Tony Nilsson; Carl Samuelsson; [2001]
    Keywords : Electronics; DCFL; MMIC; GaAs; serial to parallel converter; TTD; true-time delay; pHemt; Elektronik;

    Abstract : A 5-bit MMIC serial to parallel converter has been designed in Gallium Arsenide. It is intended to be used together with a 5-bit True Time Delay (TTD) circuit, but it can easily be expanded into an arbitrary number of bits. The circuit has been designed with a logic style called DCFL and a 0. READ MORE
