6. The two-Higgs-doublet modelas an explanation for the muon (g−2) discrepancy
University essay from Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisationAbstract : The general Z2-violating two-Higgs-doublet model (2HDM) is analysed as an explanation for the discrepancy between Standard Model predictions and experimental measurements of the muon anomalous magnetic dipole moment ∆aµ, with the condition that it does not provide an electron electric dipole moment |eEDM| larger than experimental bounds. Several point studies of individual 2HDM parameter space points are made to show large-scale cancellation among Barr-Zee 2-loop contributions to |eEDM| at large Yukawa lepton sector magnitudes, as well as an approximately linear growth of total aµ contribution when those magnitudes are rescaled by a common factor, reaching the same order as ∆aµ. 7. Attitude Determination and Control System of a CubeSat in Suborbital Flight
University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Abstract : The Bistable Boom Dynamic Deployment (B2D2) experiment aims to successfully demonstrate the deployment of a 2 meter self-deployable boom in order to offer an efficient alternative for small satellites to conduct higher quality magnetic field measurements. The boom will be placed in a free falling unit, following the CubeSat standard. READ MORE

8. Robust and Agile Attitude Control for Triple CubeSat Eye-Sat
University essay from KTH/RymdteknikAbstract : Eye-Sat is a student-designed 3U-CubeSat, to be launched to a sun-synchronous orbit from where it will map the zodiacal light, a faint glare caused by the reflection of Sun on interplanetary dust. Such mission requires an accurate 3-axis attitude control, for which Eye-Sat is equipped with reactions wheels, magnetorquers, magnetometers and a star tracker. READ MORE

9. A geophysical survey (TEM; ERT) of the Punata alluvial fan, Bolivia
University essay from Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionenAbstract : The Punata alluvial fan, situated in central Bolivia (Valle Alto) between the Altiplano and the lowlands, is an important aquifer for the local rural population. Due to rapid development and population growth in the area, the demand for fresh water has increased in recent year. READ MORE

10. Multisensor fusion and control strategies for low cost hybrid stepper motor solutions
University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Signaler och systemAbstract : This thesis has explored if it is feasible to produce a good estimation of the rotational position of a stepper motor by using sensor fusion schemes to merge a sensorless position estimation (based on the back electromotive force) with the measurement from a magnetic rotational position sensor. The purpose was to find a cheaper alternative for position feedback in closed loop control from conventionally used rotational encoders and resolvers. READ MORE
