  1. 1. Symmetry in a free boundary problem

    University essay from KTH/Matematik (Avd.)

    Author : Seuri Basilio Kuosmanen; [2023]
    Keywords : Analysis of PDEs; Bernoulli-type boundary condition; free boundary problem; Laplacian operator; method of moving planes; symmetry; Analys av PDEs; Bernoulli-typ randvärde; frirandsproblem; Laplaceoperatorn; moving-plane metoden; symmetri;

    Abstract : We consider a variational formulation of a Bernoulli-type free boundary problem for the Laplacian operator with discontinuous boundary data. We show the existence of a weak solution to the problem. Moreover, we show that the solution has symmetry properties inherited by symmetric data. READ MORE

  2. 2. Eco-efficiency in Swedish dairy farms : incorporating sustainability into the measure of eco-efficiency

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Economics

    Author : Elin Martinsson; [2020]
    Keywords : dairy farms; eco-efficiency; environmental pressures; planetary boundaries;

    Abstract : This thesis introduces a novel method to incorporate absolute values of GHG emissions into the measure of eco-efficiency. The aim is to assess eco-efficiency in Swedish dairy farms and adjusting the scores towards a threshold of absolute levels of GHG emissions using the proposed method. READ MORE

  3. 3. An Autonomous Robot for Collecting Waste Bins in an Office Environment

    University essay from Mälardalens högskola/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

    Author : Billy Lindgren; Giancarlo Kuosmanen; [2018]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The aim of this work is to introduce autonomous robots for collecting waste bins in an officeenvironment. Since the environment will contain humans, therefore, the robot-human interactionis essential so that neither the robot nor humans come in harm’s way. READ MORE

  4. 4. In situ evaluation of terminal and in-line sensor setups for unsteady pressure measurements

    University essay from KTH/Flygdynamik

    Author : Otto Kuosmanen; [2016]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The frequency response of an in-line pressure measuring setup was investigated in order to evaluate its suitability for use in wind tunnel measurements. Testing was conducted in a laboratory environment and a general procedure was developed for both the calibration of the sensors and obtaining the transfer functions for the setup. READ MORE
