Abstract: Background: Person-centered care could improve the quality of life of older people innursing homes.Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the perspectives of person-centered careclimate among older people living in nursing homes.Methods: We used a cross-sectional, descriptive and comparative design to investigatethe environment of person-centered care for older people in nursing homes. The studycollected data from approximately 480 residents of 29 nursing homes between June andOctober 2021 using the person-centered care Climate Questionnaire - patient version.Results: In this study, person-centered care in public run and public-private run nursinghomes was superior to private run nursing homes from the perspective of nursing homeresidents. Among the three dimensions, residents rated "Hospitality" the lowest and"Everydayness" the highest.Conclusions: This study revealed the differences in residents' feelings about personcentered care climate between private run nursing homes and public run, public-privaterun nursing homes. Therefore, in order to improve the person-centered care climate innursing homes, the feelings and views of different nursing home residents should betaken into account.Keywords: Nursing homes, Old people, Person-centered care, Questionnaire
