  1. 6. Simulating Low Frequency Reverberation in Rooms

    University essay from KTH/Marcus Wallenberg Laboratoriet MWL

    Author : Mattias Svensson; [2020]
    Keywords : Low frequencies; Room acoustics; Finite Difference Time Domain method; FDTD.; Rumsakustik; låga frekvenser; Finite Difference Time Domain metoden; FDTD.;

    Abstract : The aim of this thesis was to make a practical tool for low frequency analysis in room acoustics.The need arises from Acad’s experience that their results from simulations using raytracing software deviate in the lower frequencies when compared to field measurements inrooms. 2. 7. Photoemission electron microscopy of localized surface plasmons in silver nanostructures: Experiments and simulations

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik

    Author : Robin Sutinen Svärd; [2015]
    Keywords : Photoemission electron microscopy; Localized surface plasmon; Ag nanocube; Ag nanoellipsoid; Finite-difference time-domain; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : In this work, spatially resolved localized surface plasmons (LSPs) in individual silver nanocubes and nanoellipsoids are imaged with a photoemission electron microscope (PEEM). Using broadband laser pulses with photon energies below the work function threshold of the material, multiphoton photoemission (MPPE) processes coupled to the LSPs governs the strong enhancement of the plasmonic near-field detected in the PEEM. 3. 8. Multiple electromagnetic scattering by spheres using the T-matrix formulation

    University essay from Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysik

    Author : Marina Wallin; [2015]
    Keywords : T-matrix; Multiple scattering; RCS; FDTD; Electromagnetic scattering; Mie scattering;

    Abstract : Low observable technology is used in order to prevent detection, or to delay detection. Radar cross section is an important parameter in aircraft survivability since it measures how detectable an object is with radar. To find the radar cross section Maxwell's equations are solved numerically in the time-domain using a finite difference scheme. READ MORE

  4. 9. Simulation of a radar in Flames : a ray based radar model

    University essay from Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Author : Joakim Agnarsson; [2013]
    Keywords : ray tracing; radar model; ray propagation; atmosphere;

    Abstract : In this report a radar model is modeled and implemented in a simulation framework called Flames. The focus is to investigate how and if electromagnetic waves emitted from the radar antenna can be simulated by different methods and how these methods can be implemented to work in real-time simulations. 5. 10. Photonic Crystal Designs (PCD)

    University essay from Högskolan i Halmstad

    Author : Adnan daud Khan; Muhammad Noman; []
    Keywords : Finite Difference Time Domain Method FDTD ; Photonic Crystals; MIT Electromagnetic Eq; uation Propagation Software MEEP ;

    Abstract : Photonic Crystal (PC) devices are the most exciting advancement in the field of photonics. The use of computational techniques has made considerable improvements in photonic crystals design. We present here an ultrahigh quality factor (Q) photonic crystal slab nanocavity formed by the local width modulation of a line defect. READ MORE
