  1. 11. Development of headspace solid phase microextraction gas chromatography mass spectrometry method for analysis of volatile organic compounds in board samples : Correlation study between chromatographic data and flavor properties

    University essay from Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörs- och kemivetenskaper (from 2013)

    Author : Thea Zethelius; [2021]
    Keywords : Solid phase microextraction SPME ; method development; volatile organic compounds VOCs ; food contact material FCM ; flavor experience; design of experiment DoE ; multivariate analysis;

    Abstract : The purpose of this thesis work was to develop a headspace solid phase microextraction gas chromatography mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS) method to detect volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in board samples and to statistically investigate potential correlation between chromatographic data and flavor data obtained from a trained panel. The developed method would hopefully serve as a complement to the already established routine analyses at Stora Enso and gain an increased understanding of which VOCs in the board influence its flavor properties. 2. 12. Transfer Learning for Machine Diagnostics

    University essay from Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för informationsteknologi

    Author : Abdul Aziz Al Chalati; Syed Asad Naveed; [2020]
    Keywords : Transfer Learning; Pneumatic System; Machine Learning; Deep Learning; Domain Adaptation;

    Abstract : Fault detection and diagnostics are crucial tasks in condition-based maintenance. Industries nowadays are in need of fault identification in their machines as early as possible to save money and take precautionary measures in case of fault occurrence. READ MORE

  3. 13. Vibration analysis for predictive maintenance of a rotary pump. : Optimal accelerometer configuration based on vibration analysis for cavitation detection of a bi-winged positive displacement pump.

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Author : Gustav Osswald; [2019]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Predictive maintenance based on condition monitoring uses sensor and system data to prevent damage, in advance to a failure occurring, allowing for a service to be performed at an optimal position in time. Condition based predictive maintenance estimates time of system failure based on a priori information, which has shown to be much more cost effective than traditional maintenance methods. READ MORE

  5. 15. Early Warning Leakage Detection for Pneumatic Systems on Heavy Duty Vehicles : Evaluating Data Driven and Model Driven Approach

    University essay from KTH/Mekatronik

    Author : Christoffer Larsson Olsson; Erik Svensson; [2019]
    Keywords : Condition Based Maintenance; Predictive Maintenance; Leakage Detection; Data Driven; Model Driven; Tillståndsbaserat Underhåll; Prediktivt Underhåll; Läckagedetektering; Datadriven; Modelldriven;

    Abstract : Modern Heavy Duty Vehicles consist of a multitude of components and operate in various conditions. As there is value in goods transported, there is an incentive to avoid unplanned breakdowns. For this, condition based maintenance can be applied. READ MORE
