  1. 1. Performance Evaluation of Multicast Behavior in Congested Networks

    University essay from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Institutionen för tillämpad signalbehandling

    Author : Urmila Jyothula; [2019]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Compuverde’s software-defined storage product uses multicast for the communication between servers in a cluster. The product makes use of IP UDP multicast for sending status messages between the servers that forms the storage cluster. The storage clusters capacity and performance scales linear to the number of servers in the cluster. READ MORE

  2. 2. Identification of Problem Gambling via Recurrent Neural Networks : Predicting self-exclusion due to problem gambling within the remote gambling sector by means of recurrent neural networks

    University essay from Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysik

    Author : Måns Bermell; [2019]
    Keywords : LSTM; machine learning; online casino; problem gambling; recurrent neural network; time series;

    Abstract : Under recent years the gambling industry has been moving towards providing their customer the possibility to gamble online instead of visiting a physical location. Aggressive marketing, fast growth and a multitude of actors within the market have resulted in a spike of customers who have developed a gambling problem. READ MORE

  3. 3. Traffic Sign Classification Using Computationally Efficient Convolutional Neural Networks

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Datorseende

    Author : Carl Ekman; [2019]
    Keywords : CNN; Machine Learning; Deep Learning; Computer Vision; Traffic Sign Recognition; Traffic Sign Classification; Image Classification; Neural Networks;

    Abstract : Traffic sign recognition is an important problem for autonomous cars and driver assistance systems. With recent developments in the field of machine learning, high performance can be achieved, but typically at a large computational cost. READ MORE

  4. 4. PC Regression, Vector Autoregression, and Recurrent Neural Networks: How do they compare when predicting stock index returns for building efficient portfolios?

    University essay from KTH/Optimeringslära och systemteori; KTH/Optimeringslära och systemteori

    Author : David Hallberg; Erik Renström; [2019]
    Keywords : PC Regression; Vektorautoregression; och Återkopplande Neurala Nätverk: En jämförelse mellan deras förmåga att prognostisera aktieindexavkastning för att konstruera effektiva portföljer; Huvudkomponentregression; vektorautoregression; LSTM; återkopplande neurala nätverk; portföljteori; portföljoptimering; maskininlärning; makroekonomi; finans; aktieavkastning; aktieindex;

    Abstract : This thesis examines the statistical and economic performance of modeling and predicting equity index returns by application of various statistical models on a set of macroeconomic and financial variables. By combining linear principal component regression, vector autoregressive models, and LSTM neural networks, the authors find that while a majority of the models display high statistical significance, virtually none of them successfully outperform classic portfolio theory on efficient markets in terms of risk-adjusted returns. 5. 5. Implementation of an 8-bit Dynamic Fixed-Point Convolutional Neural Network for Human Sign Language Recognition on a Xilinx FPGA Board

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik

    Author : Ricardo Núñez-Prieto; [2019]
    Keywords : Artificial Intelligence; Computer Vision; Machine Learning; Convolutional Neural Networks; FPGA; Sign Language Recognition; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : The goal of this thesis work is to implement a convolutional neural network on an FPGA device with the capability of recognising human sign language. The set of gestures that the neural network can identify has been taken from the Swedish sign language, and it consists of the signs used for representing the letters of the Swedish alphabet (a.k.a.
