1. Detection of nitrous oxide through IR-DFWM in gas flows with future application in ammonia flames
University essay from Lunds universitet/Förbränningsfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenAbstract : This thesis report on an investigation into the applicability of mid-infrared degenerate four-wave mixing (IR-DWFM) as a method to detect N\(_2\)O in ammonia flames. DFWM has previously been used for concentration measurements on other molecules, but has never, to the author's knowledge, been applied to measure N\(_2\)O in ammonia flames before. READ MORE

2. Shifting the sun : Can coupling Lithium-ion batteries with solar power be economically justified in a Dutch setting?
University essay from KTH/EnergiteknikAbstract : The rapid development of the lithium-ion battery industry is currently driving down sys-tem costs as a result of maturing processes. Decreasing system costs enables additional revenue streams and applications, provided through li-ion battery storage, to be ex-plored. READ MORE

3. Forward backward correlations in pp and p-Pb collisions using the TPC at ALICE
University essay from Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenAbstract : This thesis reports on the use of \(\nu_{dyn}\) to investigate the ridge structure in p-p and p-Pb collisions using the ALICE detector at LHC. The conclusions drawn in this thesis is that there is nothing which indicates long range correlations, but that the multiplicity dependence of forward-backward correlations measured using \(\nu_{dyn}\) is dominated by an increase in the local contribution from jet production.
