  1. 1. An Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian Finite Element Method for Shock Wave Propagation: Validating Simulations of Underwater Explosions

    University essay from KTH/Numerisk analys, NA

    Author : Sebastian Sandström; [2021]
    Keywords : finite element; applied mathematics; computational mathematics; hydrocode; arbitrary lagrangian-eulerian; LS-DYNA; tillämpad matematik; beräkningsteknik; finita elementmetoden; hydrokod; arbitrary lagrangian-eulerian; LS-DYNA;

    Abstract : Underwater explosions are often modeled with Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) Finite Element Methods. The objective of this thesis is to validate the simulation method, with respect to the propagating shock wave. A two-dimensional axisymmetric model of a spherical TNT charge submerged in water is simulated using LS-DYNA. READ MORE

  2. 2. A Comparative Analysis of RNN and SVM : Electricity Price Forecasting in Energy Management Systems

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Lee Badal; Sebastian Franzén; [2019]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : A trend in increasing electricity consumption and technological innovation has resulted in automated energy management systems. Forecasting movement of the electricity price with machine learning plays a role in the sustainability of these systems. READ MORE

  3. 3. An approach to practising Bartok's viola concerto

    Abstract : A master’s project on the process of practice that went towards learning the Viola Concerto by Bèla Bartók, with a progressive breakdown of the work and a specific look at the technical difficulties that needed to be overcome in each section, how and why they were tackled in specific ways and what the positive result was that arose. The reflection on the learning process includes references to the tuition by violist Rivka Golani and pianist Michael Hampton, and the documented practice methods of the violist William Primrose.
