  1. 1. Managing Innovation in Knowledge-Intensive SMEs: A Multiple Case Study of Balancing Exploration and Exploitation

    University essay from Göteborgs universitet/Graduate School

    Author : Anders Persson; Filip Mannefred; [2023-07-20]
    Keywords : Ambidexterity; Innovation management; Innovation Strategy; Innovation Processes; Knowledge-Intensive firms; SMEs;

    Abstract : Managing the innovation processes and strategies is a common challenge for companies due to the complexity and difficulties of creating processes that favor exploitation and exploration, and not limiting the capabilities to one or the other. Being able to have a split focus and balancing these capabilities constitutes a paradox since stability and predictability are associated with exploitation, and since risk and unpredictability are associated with exploration. 2. 2. Application of PSS to Improve the Stability of a Power System With a High Penetration of Renewable Energy

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Sixten Norelius; Ylva Persson; [2023]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Unlike traditional power generation composed of synchronous generators, renewable energy in theform of solar and wind power does not add inertia to power systems. Therefore, as increasedproportions of renewable energy are added, the dynamics of the power system will be affected. READ MORE

  3. 3. Frequency Stability of Power Electronic Based Power System with 100% Renewable Energy.

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Abdullah Albalali; [2022]
    Keywords : energy storage; frequency control; synchronous generators; distributed power generation; virtual synchronous machine VSM ; PSCAD.; energilagringssystem; frekvenskontroll; synkrona generatorer; distribuerad kraftproduktion; virtuell synkron maskin; PSCAD.;

    Abstract : The modern power system is aiming to progress away from conventional synchronous machine  based power generation towards converter dominated system that leads to extensively high penetration of renewable energy such as wind and PV. This transition of modern power system toward converter based renewable energy comes with new challenges as the conventional synchronous generation is being replaced by converter based power system (CBPS). 4. 4. Development and Use of System Modeler 6DOF Flight Mechanics Model in Aircraft Conceptual Design

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Fluida och mekatroniska system

    Author : Niko Erä-Esko; [2022]
    Keywords : Aircraft Conceptual Design; Flight Mechanics; Modelling and Simulation;

    Abstract : This thesis presents a tool for conceptual design of a traditional configuration aircraft by using a parametric six degrees of freedom (6DOF) flight mechanics model implemented in the Modelica Language using Wolfram System Modeler. Being first only able to model and simulate the uncontrolled flight of an aircraft with fixed mass and centre of gravity (CG), and requiring detailed aerodynamic parameters as an input, the 6DOF model is improved by developing new features to reduce the number of required inputs while also increasing the data output of the simulations. 5. 5. Experimental Investigation of Fluid-added Parameters on a Kaplan Runner

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematik

    Author : Malin Strandberg; [2021]
    Keywords : Added mass; added inertia; fluid dynamics; hydropower; Kaplan turbine; fluid-solid interaction;

    Abstract : In order to reach climate and environmental goals, Sweden is increasing the implementation of intermittent renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power to the electricity grid. The increase of intermittent energy sources is rising power regulation requirement towards hydropower, which increasingly exposes the hydraulic turbines to high loads and fluctuating hydraulic forces.
