1. Ethylene to Liquid Hydrocarbons by Heterogeneously Catalyzed Oligomerization on ZSM-5
University essay from Uppsala universitet/Fysikalisk kemiAbstract : The aim is to produce aliphatic liquid hydrocarbons using heterogeneous ethylene oligomerization. Thiscould potentially produce renewable synthetic fuels. Heterogeneous catalysis has some advantages overhomogeneous catalysis regarding some sustainability aspects. READ MORE

2. Synthesis and characterization of half-sandwich complexes with salicylaldimine ligand derivatives
University essay from Lunds universitet/Kemiska institutionenAbstract : New half-sandwich complexes of pentamethylcyclopentadienyl-rhodium, iridium, and p-cymene-ruthenium have been synthesized and characterized. All metal complexes contain ligands based on a 4-chloroquinoline framework analogous to the antimalarial drug chloroquine. READ MORE

3. Triazine-based adhesive : An adherence study on clinically used metal surfaces
University essay from KTH/YtbehandlingsteknikAbstract : When a material is adhered onto a specific surface it is relevant to know how to make thematerial stay on the surface. By investigating different primers to use with a triazine-basedadhesive, further improvements to using the adhesive on metals can be achieved. READ MORE

4. Using PCA & Repeated ANOVA to evaluate the In Situ Bioremediation performance of sites contaminated by trichloroethylene
University essay from Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för ekonomi, teknik och naturvetenskapAbstract : Currently, one of the most common techniques to remediate contaminated sites of TCE is in situ bioremediation (ISB). In this study, PCA and repeated ANOVA were used to statistically analyze the trends of variables over time to aid in the interpretation of the performance of the in situ bioremediation (ISB) technique. 5. Quantum Chemical Feasibility Study of Methylamines as Nitrogen Precursors in Chemical Vapor Deposition
University essay from Linköpings universitet/KemiAbstract : The possibility of using methylamines instead of ammonia as a nitrogen precursor for the CVD of nitrides is studied using quantum chemical computations of reaction energies: reaction electronic energy (Δ𝑟𝐸𝑒𝑙𝑒𝑐) reaction enthalpy (Δ𝑟𝐻) and reaction free energy (Δ𝑟𝐺). The reaction energies were calculated for three types of reactions: Uni- and bimolecular decomposition to more reactive nitrogen species, adduct forming with trimethylgallium (TMG) and trimethylaluminum (TMA) followed by a release of methane or ethane and surface adsorption to gallium nitride for both the unreacted ammonia or methylamines or the decomposition products.
