  1. 1. Between Normal and Abnormal Personality – Examining the Joint Structure of the IPIP-NEO-120 and the PID-5

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för psykologi

    Author : Charlotte Schöllkopf; [2023]
    Keywords : PID-5; Five Factor Model; Big One; Structural Equation Modelling; General Factor of Personality; Social Sciences;

    Abstract : Objective: The overlap of normal and abnormal personality and personality disorders was found on facet and domain level, but only a few studies assessed the higher order joint structure. In this study, the Personality Inventory for the DSM-5 (PID-5-100 item form) and the IPIP-NEO-120 are assessed in their internal consistency, convergent and discriminant validity and their joint structure, modelled as the overlap of the General Factor of Personality (GFP) and p-factor. 2. 2. Phase and Interface Design in Potential Earth-Abundant Multi-Component Photocatalysts

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Kemiska institutionen

    Author : David Llorens Rauret; [2022]
    Keywords : Facet control; in-situ TEM; nanoparticle heterostructures; phase transformation; transition metal phosphides; inorganic nanomaterials; Chemistry;

    Abstract : Transition metal phosphides are low-cost, earth-abundant semiconductors with promising properties for photocatalysis, including water-splitting. When combined with other semiconductors or noble metals in nanoparticles, their photocatalytic performance can be drastically enhanced. READ MORE

  3. 3. Higher-Order Factor Analysis of the Swedish Version of the Personality Inventory for DSM-5

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Statistiska institutionen

    Author : Yvette Baurne; [2018]
    Keywords : PID-5; pathological personality traits; internal consistency; facet structure; general factor of psychopathology; structural equation modeling;

    Abstract : The Personality Inventory for DSM-5 (PID-5) is an emerging measure used to map pathological personality traits. In this thesis, the reliability and facet structure of the Swedish version of the PID-5 is evaluated. Further, the possible occurrence of higher-order factors of the pathological personality traits is explored. READ MORE

  4. 4. Functional Punishment. A discursive study of functional punishment-representations in MetroXpress’ news articles, 2018

    University essay from Malmö universitet/Fakulteten för kultur och samhälle (KS)

    Author : Anja Skov Ljungberg; [2018]
    Keywords : Punishment; Deviance; News values; News discourse; Social Cohesion; Agency; Functionalism; Durkheimianism;

    Abstract : In this thesis project, the phenomenon of news media representation of punitivism has been researched through a methodology of a socio-semiotic discourse analysis framed within a theoretical structure of Durkheimianism and news value components. Articles concerning MetroXpress’ representation of criminal deviance and punishment were located through a buzzwords search within the newspaper’s online data archives. READ MORE

  5. 5. Time-Resolved Photoluminescence Studies of InGaP Nanowires for Improving the Internal Quantum Efficiency

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik

    Author : Lert Chayanun; [2017]
    Keywords : Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : Semiconductor Nanowires are promising building blocks for advanced optoelectronic devices since their small diameter give rise to quantization effects. The small diameter also makes them susceptible to non-radiative recombination due to surface states. READ MORE
