  1. 11. Indium Bump Fabrication using Electroplating for Flip Chip Bonding

    University essay from Mittuniversitetet/Avdelningen för elektronikkonstruktion

    Author : Saron Anteneh Sjödin; [2015]
    Keywords : Pixel Detector; Read Out Chip; UBM; Bump; Electroplating; Evaporation; Reflow;

    Abstract : Hybrid pixel detectors are widely used in many fields, including military, environment, industry and medical treatment. When integrating such a detector, a vertical connection technique called flip-chip bonding is almost the only way to realize the high-density interconnection between each pixel detector to the read-out chip. 2. 12. Fabrication of surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) active substrates based on vertically aligned nitrogen doped carbon nanotube forest

    University essay from Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysik

    Author : Md Khorshed Alam; [2015]
    Keywords : Photolithography; Physical Vapor Deposition; Chemical Vapor Deposition; Annealing; Scanning Electron Microscopy; Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy;

    Abstract : This thesis work describes the fabrication and surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) characterization of vertically aligned nitrogen (N) doped multi walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) forests coated by silver (Ag) and gold (Au) nanoparticles. In the present work, the CNT forests were grown from a catalyst metal layer by the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process at temperature of 800 oC and a physical vapor deposition (PVD) and annealing processes were applied subsequently for the evaporation and diffusion of noble metal nanoparticles on the forest. 3. 13. Investigating Urea Vaporization in a Controlled Environment Using Infrared Thermography

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för kemivetenskap (CHE)

    Author : Henrik Grimler; [2015]
    Keywords : AdBlue; Infrared; Film; Evaporation; Deposits;

    Abstract : As the emission legislation becomes more stringent, higher demands are put on the aftertreatment system in trucks. For dealing with nitrous oxides, AdBlue® (urea–water solution) is injected into the exhausts which evaporates and reduces nitrous oxides to nitrogen. READ MORE

  4. 14. Greenhouse gas emission from drying and rewetting stored sewage sludge

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Energy and Technology

    Author : Xi Yang; [2013]
    Keywords : Sevage; sludge; storage; methane; nitrous oxide; carbon dioxied; drying; rewetting;

    Abstract : Sludge produced from wastewater treatment plants is not only rich in nutrients such as nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P), but also contains toxic organic contaminants and pathogenic organisms which can be potentially hazardous to health of plants, animals and humans. In order to minimize the pathogen contamination in sludge before land application, a minimum of one year of sewage sludge storage has been proposed by Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. 5. 15. Long Term Environmental Modelling of Soil-Water-Plant Exposed to Saline Water.

    University essay from KTH/Mark- och vattenteknik

    Author : Leila Pourfathali Kasmaei; [2012]
    Keywords : CoupModel; Drip and surface irrigation; Leaching fraction; Soil evaporation; Transpiration; Salinization;

    Abstract : The impact of long term management strategies of irrigation with saline water in semi-arid region of Gordonia, South Africa is the highest interest to optimize water consumption, soil conservation, and crop yield for sustainable water allocations to human food production and ecosystem without irreversible damages to soil and water body. An integrated ecosystem assimilation, in shape of soil-water storage model based on physical approach for 30-year simulation run defined in form of digital ecosystem modelling with help of CoupModel tool to assemble together the most important underlying processes of soil hydraulics, irrigation demands, leaching fraction, evapotranspiration, salt transport.
