Abstract: In January 2005 large forest areas in south Sweden were severely damaged by storm. This final thesis describes the work with creating an ecological and landscape-adapted regeneration plan for a severely storm damaged property in Kronobergs region in south Sweden. This regeneration plan, in difference to more regular plans, are focusing more on the owner's use and goal's for the property and seeing the property from a more comprehensive view in the regeneration process. Beside production and environmental values the plan also take in consideration other values as aesthetic, culture history, landscape picture and recreation values. An inventory of the damaged area was made, and after that divided into 20 smaller compartments mainly due to moisture and regeneration ability. Two alternatives have been made for each compartment. The first suggestion is a spruce dominated and traditional regeneration alternative. The species composition will be similar to the one before the storm except for the proportion of pine that will be lower. The second alternative is less traditional and based on other values like recreation, aesthetic and landscape picture. The proportion of spruce are less and instead a larger proportion of other species e.g. larch, pine, hybrid poplar, birch and other hardwood. The second suggestion is often more expensive and sometimes include a bigger risk for failures in regeneration phase and later. This final thesis is written as a part of BSc in forestry at SLU, Skinnskatteberg, Sweden.
