Abstract: A cultural, lived-in landscape offers a living model of sustainable use of land and resources, and offer important lessons for sustainable development. The strong traditions of management of cultural landscape exist in the National Parks of Great Britain and Wales particularly in the Peak District National Park. These can serve as the best practice in partnership. This paper presents a comparative study of the Peak District and the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Parks management and includes a discussion of the strong and weak practices. Analysis of the main stakeholders involved in the management of the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park is carried out.
