Abstract: This thesis explores the analysis of customer interactions using information visualization in 3D user interfaces. Visualization of customer interaction data is vital for the company to set requirements and further allow for decision support. It presents a comprehensive approach to capturing, filtering, and visualizing customer behavior data. The research utilizes the Microsoft HoloLens 2 as a data capture device, recording precise customer interactions with the car. Calibration techniques ensure accurate positioning of the digital twin in the recording process. Data filtering includes field of view filters and simulations in a Unity environment to refine the dataset. Visualization techniques employ 3D objects, paths, head points, gaze points, and playback options for single recordings. Aggregated visualizations and point clouds reveal participant behavior patterns in multiple recordings. A 2D heatmap displays high-density areas and patterns. The evaluation focuses on the usability of the visualization tool for understanding customer interactions. The research contributes to user experience analysis, aiding in the improvement of 3D user interfaces and informed decision-making in the industry.
