  1. 36. Qualitative analysis of LGD-4033 and its metabolites in equine plasma using UHPLC-MS(MS) for doping control purposes

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Analytisk kemi

    Author : Emma Berndtson; [2017]
    Keywords : UHPLC; LGD-4033; plasma; metabolites; SARM;

    Abstract : A new class of drugs has been developed for treatment of muscle and bone mass wasting diseases called non-steroidal selective androgen receptor modulators (SARMs). Because of their positive androgenic effects such as muscle gain, they are desirable as performance enhancers. READ MORE

  2. 37. Sensitivity of Various Qubit Detection Methods in Pr:Y2SiO5

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Atomfysik

    Author : Vassily Kornienko; [2017]
    Keywords : Rare-earth ion quantum computing; Pr:Y2SiO5; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : The long coherence times of the 4f hyperfine levels of rare-earth-ions gives the possibility to use these as quantum computation devices. Moreover after being doped into a crystal the strong dipole-dipole interaction can be utilized to entangle them. Much work has been done here in Lund to attain as many of the DiVincenzo criteria as possible. READ MORE

  3. 38. Optical spectroscopy of impurity atoms in semiconducting Nanowires

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Shishir Shroff; [2017]
    Keywords : Photoluminescence; Nanowire; Defects; Diffusion; GaAs; Copper; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : In a small and confined one dimensional geometry of nanowire, even few defects can influence the performance of the devices. Main objective of this thesis is to conduct photoluminescence study of such defect states in GaAs nanowires, which we will first introduce by diffusing copper impurity atoms, in very low concentrations. 4. 39. Simulation and analysis of InP/GaInP nanowire Esaki diodes for photovoltaic device applications

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Odd Restad; [2017]
    Keywords : Physics and Astronomy; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : In this thesis the WKB-approximation is used to simulate the tunneling current for an Esaki nanowire diode and the result is compared to data from Esaki nanowire diodes grown with MOVPE. The WKB-approximation with triangular potential barrier predicts a strong increase of the tunneling current as a function of the doping densities and at the highest doping levels it gives lower tunneling distances than more reliable drift-diffusion simulations and is thus overestimating the current. 5. 40. Device development for doping evaluation in nanowires using capacitance-voltage measurements

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Emil Nylander; [2016]
    Keywords : Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : This thesis aims to show the prospect of capacitance measurements over nanowire arrays as an evaluation method of the p-doping level in weakly p-doped p-n nanowires. The premise of the method is that there will be a high yield of statistical data regarding the doping level of the nanowires. READ MORE
