  1. 1. Calculating scattering amplitudes in φ3 and Yang-mills theory using perturbiner methods

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Teoretisk fysik

    Author : Daniel Nilsson; Magnus Bertilsson; [2022]
    Keywords : QFT; Quantum; Quantum field theory; scattering amplitudes; Berends Giele Currents; feynman diagrams; n particle scattering;

    Abstract : We calculate tree-level scattering amplitudes in φ^3 theory and Yang-Mills theory by means of the perturbiner expansion. This involves solving the Euler-Lagrange equations of motion perturbatively via a multi-particle ansatz, and using Berends-Giele recursion relations to extract the solution from simple on-shell data. 2. 2. The Hanging Rope: A Convex Optimization Problem in the Calculus of Variations

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematik LTH

    Author : Erik Steen; [2020]
    Keywords : Elasticity theory; non-linear materials; calculus of variation; convex analysis; Legendre transform; Mathematics and Statistics;

    Abstract : We study the problem first introduced by Verma and Keller in 1984 of how to taper a heavy rope such that its elongation is minimized. The problem is stated as an optimization problem of a functional J[w]. Specifically we provide a proof of optimality for the solution using traditional convex optimization techniques. READ MORE

  3. 3. Development and Implementation of a Mass Balancing System for CubeSat Attitude Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulations

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Rymdteknik

    Author : Guillermo Ledo López; [2019]
    Keywords : hil; hardware in the loop; simulation; satellite; simulator; platform; simulink; matlab; least squares; aocs; testing; attitude; dynamics; control;

    Abstract : Spacecraft simulator platforms can simulate the microgravity environment of space on Earth, for the purposes of testing the Attitude and Orbit Control Subsystem of satellites. In order to do this, the satellite is mounted on a bench and the combined center of mass of this assembly is controlled by a series of moving masses. READ MORE

  4. 4. Concise Modeling of Humanoid Dynamics

    University essay from Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för informationsteknologi

    Author : Florian Joachimbauer; [2017]
    Keywords : Passive walking; Humanoid robot; Acumen; Equation-based tool; Euler-Lagrange;

    Abstract : Simulation of mechanical systems like walking robots, is an essential part in developingnew and more applicable solutions in robotics. The increasing complexity of methodsand technologies is a key challenge for common languages. That problem creates a needfor flexible and scalable languages. READ MORE

  5. 5. Haptic Servo System

    University essay from Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för fysik och elektroteknik (IFE)

    Author : Mohammad Firas MOULKI; Mohamad Khashab; [2015]
    Keywords : Haptic; Ball and Beam; Human Tactile Delay; Euler Lagrange;

    Abstract : A ”Haptic servo system” is here understood as a servo system whereforces from a controlled system are fed back to an operator. This thesis workis a design work where the work among other things comprises the choice ofsuitable motors, one for operating the beam and another one for operatingthe steering wheel. READ MORE
