  1. 21. Uppvärmning av Almunge brandstation med pyrolys

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Energy and Technology

    Author : Felix Eriksson; Erik Gustafsson; Karl Malmberg; Simon Martelius; Simon Johansson; Patrick Johansson; Michael Stanowski; [2019]
    Keywords : biokol; trädgårdsavfall; brandstation; värmeförsörjning; jordförbättringsmedel; pyrolysreaktor;

    Abstract : This project has been carried out on the behalf of Ihus in collaboration with Stuns Energi. The goal was to find and model a solution based on the process of pyrolysis that can deliver enough heat to Almunge fire station while storing maximum amount of CO2 in the form of biochar. READ MORE

  2. 22. How to predict the mechanical properties of a composite structure assembled with a metal structure

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad mekanik

    Author : Mubarak Ali; [2019]

    Abstract : Adhesive joints are used extensively in the automotive industry. There are many ongoing studies on the area of application of joining composite to other material using adhesive joints. READ MORE

  3. 23. Load Classification with Machine Learning : Classifying Loads in a Distribution Grid

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskaper

    Author : Jonathan Kristensson; [2019]
    Keywords : Power systems; machine learning; smart grid; load profiles; Velander s formula; load classification; clustering; regression; data quality; Kraftsystem; maskininlärning; smarta elnät; lastprofiler; Velanders formel; lastklassificering; klustring; regression; datakvalitet;

    Abstract : This thesis explores the use of machine learning as a load classifier in a distribution grid based on the daily consumption behaviour of roughly 1600 loads spread throughout the areas Bromma, Hässelby and Vällingby in Stockholm, Sweden. Two common unsupervised learning methods were used for this, K-means clustering and hierarchical agglomerative clustering (HAC), the performance of which was analysed with different input data sets and parameters. 4. 24. Change in heating costs for different renovation alternatives of a million-housing program building

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Author : Robert Alexandersson; Stephan Tran; [2019]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : In 2014 the network for energy efficient multi-residential buildings, BeBo, finished a project called “Ett hus, fem möjligheter” (“One building, five opportunities”). The purpose was to provide insight into and a comparison of five different renovation alternatives for an existing building from the million-housing program, resulting in a decrease in energy use by at least half. 5. 25. A Model-Predictive-Control Based Smart-Grid Aggregator

    University essay from KTH/Optimeringslära och systemteori

    Author : Amanda Paulus; [2018]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Intermittent energy source usage, such as solar and wind power, is continuously increasing. Intermittent energy sources are highly dependent on prevailing weather conditions, resulting in stochastic electricity generation. The expected stochasticity in electricity generation will cause issues for the current power grid. READ MORE
