  1. 21. Mobile Application Development with Image Applications Using Xamarin

    University essay from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Institutionen för tillämpad signalbehandling

    Author : VENKATA SARATH GAJJELA; SURYA DEEPTHI DUPATI; [2018]
    Keywords : Android; Application Program Interface; Histogram Equalization; Image enhancement; IOS; MATLAB; Probability density function; Xamarin Software.;

    Abstract : Image enhancement improves an image appearance by increasing dominance of some features or by decreasing ambiguity between different regions of the image. Image enhancement techniques have been widely used in many applications of image processing where the subjective quality of images is important for human interpretation. READ MORE

  2. 22. Assessment of image quality in x-ray fluoroscopy based on Model observers as an objective measure for quality control and image optimization

    University essay from Stockholms universitet/Fysikum

    Author : Henrik Elgström; [2018]
    Keywords : image quality; fluoroscopy; Model observer;

    Abstract : BACKGROUND: Although the Image Quality (IQ) indices calculated by objective Model observers contains more favourable characteristics compared to Figure Of Merits (FOM) derived from the more common subjective evaluations of modern digital diagnostic fluoroscopy units, like CDRAD or the Leeds test-objects, practical issues in form of limited access to unprocessed raw data and intricate laboratory measurements have made the conventional computational methods too inefficient and laborious. One approach of the Statistical Decision Variables (CDV) analysis, made available in the FluoroQuality software, overcome these limitations by calculating the SNR2rate from information entirely based on image frames directly obtained from the imaging system, operating in its usual clinical mode. 3. 23. Contrast Enhancement of Colour Images using Transform Based Gamma Correction and Histogram Equalization

    University essay from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Institutionen för tillämpad signalbehandling

    Author : Pruthvi Venkatesh Gatti; Krishna Teja Velugubantla; [2017]
    Keywords : Contrast Enhancement; Image Processing; Traditional Histogram Equalization; Transformed Based Gamma Correction.;

    Abstract : Contrast is an important factor in any subjective evaluation of image quality. It is the difference in visual properties that makes an object distinguishable from other objects and background. Contrast Enhancement method is mainly used to enhance the contrast in the image by using its Histogram. READ MORE

  4. 24. A Novel Shoeprint Enhancement method for Forensic Evidence Using Sparse Representation method.

    University essay from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Institutionen för tillämpad signalbehandling

    Author : Harshitha Reddy Katireddy; Sreemanth Sidda; [2017]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Shoeprints are often recovered at crime scenes and are the most abundant form of evidence at a crime scene, and in some cases, it is proved to be as accurate as fingerprints. The basis for shoeprint impression evidence is determining the source of a shoeprint impression recovered from a crime scene. READ MORE

  5. 25. Parametric Coding for Spatial Audio

    University essay from KTH/MWL Marcus Wallenberg Laboratoriet

    Author : Bertrand Fatus; [2016]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : This thesis presents a stereo coding technique used as an extension for the Enhanced Voice Services (EVS) codec [10] [8]. EVS is an audio codec recently standardized by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) for compressing mono signals at chosen rates from 7.2 to 128 kbit/s (for xed bit rate) and around 5.9 kbit/s (for variable bit rate).
