  1. 1. On Systematically Exploring the State Space for Events with SFCs

    University essay from Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknik

    Author : Younis Akel; Gianmarco Iachella; [2023-08-07]
    Keywords : Autonomous driving systems; scenario-based testing; space-filling curve SFC ; characteristic stripe patterns CSP ; permutations; state-space; areas of interest AOI ;

    Abstract : In the process of developing autonomous driving systems (AD systems), ensuring safety remains a constant and continuous priority. Scenario-based testing is a popular approach to guarantee the safety of AD systems, which however meets challenges in terms of diversity and efficiency of generation, as well as evaluating existing test case datasets in terms of their coverage of the different variations of a particular maneuver. 3. 3. A Snapshot into Developmental Differences in Attention and Cognitive Control: An Eye Tracking Study

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för psykologi

    Author : Molly Sterlacci; [2017]
    Keywords : attention; distraction; executive function; cognitive control; eye tracking; memory; Social Sciences;

    Abstract : The present study reveals how the presence of relevant and irrelevant spoken language affects the processing for visual information, and if this is mediated by executive function processes that develop from childhood (N = 10, age 4-10) to adolescence (N = 16, age 14-17) and through adulthood (N = 16, age 21-28). Participants engaged in a task in which they looked at visual stimuli organized within Areas of Interest (AOI’s) with no audio (1), with audio to facilitate memory (2), and distracting audio unrelated to visual stimuli (3) and were then asked to remember the visual stimuli they looked at, all while connected to an eye tracker. 4. 4. Identifying potential critical transitions in a forest ecosystem using satellite data

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Author : Krishna Lamsal; [2017]
    Keywords : early warning; critical transition; tipping point; EVI; time series; GEM; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Abstract : Ecosystems can undergo changes that are slow and gradual, or an abrupt change - a sudden nonlinear dynamics that can bring catastrophic changes and ultimately leads to the change in the structure and functioning. Non-linear and discontinuous changes sometimes may cause the system to shift into another undesirable state, called ‘regime shifts’ or ‘critical transition’. READ MORE
