  1. 21. WSN Routing Schedule Based on Energy-aware Adaptation

    University essay from Mittuniversitetet/Institutionen för informationssystem och –teknologi

    Author : Tingqing Peng; [2020]
    Keywords : Multi-objective Optimization Problem; Routing schedule; KSP; Wireless sensor network;

    Abstract : In view of the problem of uneven load distribution and energy consumption among nodes in a multi-hop wireless sensor network, this research constructs the routing schedule problem as a MOP (Multi-objective Optimization Problem), and proposed an energy-aware routing optimization scheme RDSEGA based on multi-objective optimization. In this scheme, in order to avoid the searching space explosion problem caused by the increase of nodes, KSP Yen's algorithm was applied to prune the searching space, and the candidate paths selected after pruning are recoded based on priority. 2. 22. Multi-Criteria GIS modelling for optimal alignment of roadway by-passes in the Tlokweng Planning Area, Botswana

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Author : Milan Sekulic; [2019]
    Keywords : GIS; Multi-criteria analysis; DEFINITE; Sensitivity Analysis; Python; AHP; Least-cost path; Dijkstra’s algorithm; ArcPy; Geography; model; road alignment; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Abstract : To find the optimal by-pass road alignment in the Tlokweng Planning Area in Botswana, a multi-criteria spatial-based model is developed using the GIS-MCE approach. In respect to the environmental impact assessment (EIA) approach, in this research a set of criteria is classified under 3 themes – economic, environmental and social. READ MORE

  3. 23. Evaluating a 3D node graphing algorithm : Developing an algorithm for improving 3D map data and comparing resulting node graphs used for underground mines

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Datavetenskap

    Author : Daniel Hedlin; [2019]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Mining companies are rapidly modernizing, and part of this modernization requires the tracking of equipment and personnel within mines. Mobilaris uses 3D maps that represent mine paths using two lines, one representing the left wall and one representing the right. READ MORE

  4. 24. Developing robust algorithms for feature extraction in images of polymer layers

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistik

    Author : Anton Wemmenborn; [2019]
    Keywords : Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Automated manufacturing processes are an important component of today’s industries. Assuming the processes are properly maintained they allow for great efficiency when producing various goods. Image analysis can be used as a tool to monitor such processes and evaluate their results. 5. 25. Comparing node-sorting algorithms for multi-goal pathfinding with obstacles

    University essay from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Author : Christoffer Åleskog; Salomon Ljungberg Fayyazuddin; [2019]
    Keywords : multi-goals; pathfinding; nearest neighbor algorithms;

    Abstract : Background. Pathfinding plays a big role in both digital games and robotics, and is used in many different ways. One of them is multi-goal pathfinding (MGPF) which is used to calculate paths from a start position to a destination with the condition that the resulting path goes though a series of goals on the way to the destination.
