  1. 6. Design of compact automotive heat exchanger, analysing the effects of RANS models and utilising Additive Manufacturing

    University essay from KTH/Fysik

    Author : Nikhil Srikkanth; Bartosz Brzuchalski; [2022]
    Keywords : Turbulence; Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes; KTH Formula Student; metal additive manufacturing; CFD; turbulent kinetic energy; boundary layer;

    Abstract : The analytical modelling of complex turbulent airflow remains one of the great unsolved mysteries of physics, but in this paper two widely used Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes models (k-$\epsilon$ and k-$\omega$ SST) are compared while designing a heat exchanger for the KTH Formula Student electric race car. CAD software was used to design lattices for the heat exchanger core and theorise about how to increase heat transfer while also taking into account the utilisation of metal additive manufacturing. 2. 7. Design of the SiLago GNOC

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Weiyao Tang; [2022]
    Keywords : Synchoros Blocks; SiLago models; Network on Chips; Routing Algorithm and Deadlock; Physical Design; Synchoros-block; SiLago-modeller; nätverk på chip; routingalgoritm och dödläge; fysisk design;

    Abstract : Synchoros VLSI design style can be an alternative choice to fit the increasing complexity of embedded multi-processor architectures. SiLago Block is part of the synchoros blocks, which can effectively reduce the cost of logic and physical synthesis as it is hardened and highly centralized details from each layer of metal. 3. 8. Measuring The Adoption and The Effects of RPKI Route Validation and Filtering : Through active control plane and data plane measurements

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Sergio Ricardo Hernández Torres; [2022]
    Keywords : BGP; IP; Routing; RPKI; Tier-1 ISP;

    Abstract : The BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) is responsible for establishing routing at the core of the Internet, yet it was not designed with security in mind. The Internet routing protocol is currently not secure — but its security can be enhanced. READ MORE

  4. 9. Object Based Image Retrieval Using Feature Maps of a YOLOv5 Network

    University essay from KTH/Matematisk statistik

    Author : Hugo Essinger; Alexander Kivelä; [2022]
    Keywords : Content based image retrieval; CBIR; Object based image retrieval; OBIR; image retrieval; YOLO; YOLOv5; object detection; PyTorch; deep learning; convolutional neural network; CNN; Content based image retrieval; CBIR; Object based image retrieval; OBIR; image retrieval; YOLO; YOLOv5; object detection; PyTorch; deep learning; convolutional neural network; CNN;

    Abstract : As Machine Learning (ML) methods have gained traction in recent years, someproblems regarding the construction of such methods have arisen. One such problem isthe collection and labeling of data sets. Specifically when it comes to many applicationsof Computer Vision (CV), one needs a set of images, labeled as either being of someclass or not. READ MORE

  5. 10. A Study on Data-driven Methods for Selection and Evaluation of Beam Subsets in 5G NR

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik

    Author : Nic Ekman; Ilias Theodoros Skordas; [2022]
    Keywords : 5G; NR; telecom; telecommunications; ML; machine learning; algorithms; beam; widebeam; propagation; beamforming; subset; RAN; radio; radio environment; ericsson; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : 5G New Radio is the next generation of mobile networks and it comes with promises of ultra-high speeds, ultra-high reliability and ultra-low latency. This has posed a challenge for the engineers entrusted with the task of finding solutions which could fulfil the specification, and as a result, some promising areas have received increased attention in recent years.
