  1. 6. Construction of hpRNA expression vector for silencing a gene in Rhizopus oryzae

    University essay from Högskolan i Borås/Institutionen Ingenjörshögskolan

    Author : Kiran Kumar Penmatsa; Bharat Balu; [2012]
    Keywords : RNA interference; hpRNA; Silencing vector construction; Rhizopus oryzae; Ethanol; Lactic acid;

    Abstract : Depending on the previous research on LDHA gene silencing in Rhizopus oryzae CCUG 28959 through introduction of siRNA, a integral vector was constructed by inserting two copies of LDHA gene (by PCR cloning) in a fashion that it can express hpRNA in the transformed fungi, which will trigger the post transcriptional degradation of targeted mRNA through RNA degradation pathway which is known to be quelling in fungi.The vector was successfully designed with the LDHA gene, transformed in to the host organism, and also transferred to its progeny. 2. 7. Investigations on the nitrogen inhibition during an anaerobic co-digestion process

    University essay from Högskolan i Borås/Institutionen Ingenjörshögskolan

    Author : Mitta Mohana Ravikumar Gopinath; Kiran Kumar Gopalam; [2011]
    Keywords : anaerobic co-digestion; bts buffer tank substrate ; batch and continuous operations; thermophilic; ammonia;

    Abstract : Nitrogen Inhibition during an anaerobic co-digestion process was studied in this work.The substrate and inoculum used were obtained from a thermophilic biogas plant Sobacken,situated in Borås, Sweden. The batch experiments have been carried out in triplicate reactorswith different concentrations of ammonia ranging from 2400mg/l to 3400mg/l. READ MORE

  3. 8. Implementation of Collection Tree Protocol over WirelessHART Data-Link

    University essay from JTH, Data- och elektroteknik

    Author : Kiran Kumar Koneri; [2011]
    Keywords : WSN; WirelessHART; Time Synchronization Channel Hopping; Collection Tree Protocol; Reliability; Efficiency;

    Abstract : Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are ad-hoc wireless networks for small form-factor embedded nodes with limited memory, processing and energy resources. Certain applications, like industrial automation and real-time process monitoring requires time synchronized reliable network protocol. READ MORE

  4. 9. Immunoassays for detection of serum thymidine kinase 1 in dog lymphomas and carcinomas

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry

    Author : Kiran Kumar Jagarlamudi; [2010]
    Keywords : Immunoassays; thymidine kinase 1; dog lymphomas;

    Abstract : Serum thymidine kinase 1 (TK1) activity determination is used as marker for tumor monitoring in both human and veterinary medicine. TK1 is an intracellular enzyme involved in the salvage pathway of DNA precursor synthesis. READ MORE
