  1. 36. Optical studies of wrapgated InP nanowires

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Henrik Torstensson; [2019]
    Keywords : Nanowire; InP; ITO; wrapgate; photoluminescence; interface states.; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : This thesis describes optical spectroscopy on III-V semiconductor InP nanowires (NW) with a transparent indium-tin-oxide (ITO) gate electrode. The NWs are arranged both as vertical arrays with a wrap all around gate and as single lateral NWs with an omega-shaped gate for increased electrostatic effect. READ MORE

  2. 37. Kan ytmodeller och punktmoln från stereomatchade flygbilder användas för att prediktera trädhöjd vid skogskanter? : en jämförelse mot flygburen laserskanning

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Forest Resource Management

    Author : Lisa Lindberg; Martin Persson; [2019]
    Keywords : fjärranalys; flygbilder; fotogrammetri; kraftledning; laserskanning; problemträd;

    Abstract : Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka om stereomatchade flygbilder kan ersätta dyr helikopterbaserad laserskanning, i arbetet att längs kraftledningsgator identifiera enskilda träd som riskerar att på något sätt skada ledningarna. Möjligheten att använda Lantmäteriets färdiga flygbilder skulle kunna leda till minskade kostnader för inventering. READ MORE

  3. 38. Noncollinear optical parametric amplification of a supercontinuum

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Atomfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Henrik Åkesson; [2019]
    Keywords : optical parametric amplification; supercontinuum generation; nonlinear optics; laser pulse compression; lasers; optics; Physics and Astronomy; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : During this thesis, work has been done towards realizing a short-wave infrared (SWIR) laser source based on optical parametric amplification. It is planned that this setup should be able to produce few-cycle laser pulses at 2μm with a stable carrier-envelope phase (CEP). READ MORE

  4. 39. Development of Spectroscopic Measurements for Raman and Thomson Scattering Diagnostics ——Applications in Combustion and Plasma

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Förbränningsfysik

    Author : Miaoxin Gong; [2019]
    Keywords : Raman scattering; Raman spectroscopy; Thomson scattering; stray light suppression; periodic shadowing; high dynamic range imaging; digital micro-mirror device; DMD; laminar flames; combustion; gas discharge; plasma; laser diagnostics; spectrometer; improved spectroscopy; spectroscopy; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : This thesis work concerns methods for improved spectroscopy including stray-light suppression, dynamic range improvement and signal enhancement. These methods were applied in Raman and Thomson- scattering spectroscopy in combustion and plasma. READ MORE

  5. 40. Investigating Optical-Field-Induced Currents in GaN using Ultrafast Lasers

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Vidar Flodgren; [2019]
    Keywords : GaN; gallium nitride; nanoscience; material science; ultrafast lasers; Yb Laser; Pharos Laser; titanium sapphire laser; device fabrication; lift-off; gold etching; optical-field-induced currents; modelling; matlab; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : This study saw the development of an experimental setup capable of generating and measuring optical-field-induced currents in a variety of nanodevices fabricated specifically for this project. Each device design features two metallic contacts, closely separated by about 5 micrometers, deposited onto a semiconductor or insulator substrate. READ MORE
