  1. 6. Idiom-driven innermost loop vectorization in the presence of cross-iteration data dependencies in the HotSpot C2 compiler

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Programvara och system

    Author : William Sjöblom; [2020]
    Keywords : compiler; vectorization; SIMD; Java; HotSpot; code optimization; reductions; prefix sums; parallel programming; data-level parallelism;

    Abstract : This thesis presents a technique for automatic vectorization of innermost single statement loops with a cross-iteration data dependence by analyzing data-flow to recognize frequently recurring program idioms. Recognition is carried out by matching the circular SSA data-flow found around the loop body’s φ-function against several primitive patterns, forming a tree representation of the relevant data-flow that is then pruned down to a single parameterized node, providing a high-level specification of the data-flow idiom at hand used to guide algorithmic replacement applied to the intermediate representation. 2. 7. Observations on de Bruijn graphs

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematik LTH; Lunds universitet/Matematik (naturvetenskapliga fakulteten)

    Author : Jonathan Garbe; [2020]
    Keywords : de Bruijn graph; shift of finite type; symbolic dynamic; strongly connected graph; primitive graph; transitive shift; mixing shift; alternating colouring; Mathematics and Statistics;

    Abstract : Abstract of chapter 1 For n >= 2 the number of mixing n-step subshifts of finite type (sft) over the alphabet {0, 1} is proven to be at least 15/16 times the number of transitive n-step sfts. A conjecture assumes the latter to be at least 2^(3*2^(n-1)-n). Abstract of chapter 2 The alternating colouring function is defined. READ MORE

  3. 8. The Design of a User Interface for the Mobile Virtual Reality Application

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Author : Shuo Yang; [2017]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : With the constant updating of mobile terminal hardware and the rapid developmentof mobile internet, people’s demand for mobile 3D graphics application is increasing. Therefore, for mobile terminal 3D remote rendering has become a research hotspot. READ MORE

  4. 9. Lungutveckling och surfaktant : lammets perinatala överlevnad

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry

    Author : Sara Folkesson; [2017]
    Keywords : lungembryologi; ovin; får; surfaktant;

    Abstract : En lamning kräver ofta en hel del arbete av tackan och ibland även av djurägaren innan lammet piggnar till efter födseln och kan ta sig upp på egna ben för att dia. Komplikationer vid lamning är inte helt ovanligt och kan göra processen lång, uttröttande och smärtsam för både tacka och lamm. READ MORE

  5. 10. The Primitive Antiarch Yunnanolepis from China : A Microtomographic Study

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Paleobiologi

    Author : Jessica Grahn; [2016]
    Keywords : placodermi; microtomography; 3D model; mikrotomografi; 3D-modell;

    Abstract : Placoderms appeared in the Silurian period and rapidly evolved and dominated the waters during the Devonian period. Among the earliest of the placoderms are yunnanolepids, a primitive form of antiarch from the Early Devonian of China and Vietnam. READ MORE
