  1. 1. Transverse Momentum Spectra in pp collisions (\sqrt{s}\) = 7 TeV and \(\sqrt{s}\) = 13 TeV in ALICE

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik

    Author : Andreas Stokkeland; [2023]
    Keywords : Multiplicity; Multiplicity classes; Soft interactions; Quark Gluon Plasma; QGP; transverse momentum; p_T; Chi-squared; fits; fit functions; Levy; Lévy; Exponential; BGBW; Boltzmann-Gibbs blast-wave; Fermi-Dirac; Bose-Einstein; Boltzmann; pion; kaon; proton; transverse momentum spectra; p_T spectra; surface velocity; Minimum Bias; MB; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : In this project particle production as a function of transverse momentum (\(p_{\rm T}\)) in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy (\(\sqrt{s}\)) of 7 TeV and 13 TeV has been studied. The transverse momentum is interesting to study since it reflects momentum created in the collision (before the collision, all momentum is in the beam - going in a longitudinal direction) and therefore gives information on the collision dynamics. 2. 2. Societal critique in Charles Dickens’s Oliver Twist : A Ricouerian Analysis

    University essay from Mittuniversitetet/Institutionen för humaniora och samhällsvetenskap

    Author : Nohan Zainudini; [2023]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : This essay investigates social critique and commentary in Charles Dickens’s Oliver Twist, applying a Ricoeurian hermeneutics in order to determine whether the novel simultaneously affirms certain viewpoints while subtly undermining these. If such cases can be found, the analysis will then endeavor to determine how this serves to influence the reader’s perception of the various social issue presented in the novel. READ MORE

  3. 3. THE WIND OF CHANGE – SENSITIVITY OF THREE PARAMETERS ON WIND POWER ENERGY CALCULATIONS USING WINDPRO SOFTWARE

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Author : Nina Skuja; [2023]
    Keywords : Error; Sensitivity; WindPRO; Wind Power; Wind Speed; Roughness; Power Curve; Energy Production; Wind Resource Assessment;

    Abstract : Many parameters used for Wind Resource Assessment (WRA) have uncertainty and variability, yet are input into the process as single values. The extent of the uncertainty or variance may not be known, and may or may not be significant enough to affect output. READ MORE

  4. 4. SENSOR FUSION FOR AUTONOMOUS NAVIGATION

    University essay from Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

    Author : Dan Österlund; [2023]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : This report describes the progress made in designing and constructing an unmanned surface vehicle. The focus is on the development of the vessel's perception system, which includes three LiDAR sensors and a camera. READ MORE

  5. 5. Design and processing of metal-organic frameworks for greenhouse gas capture

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Nanoteknologi och funktionella material

    Author : Evelina Wiksten; [2023]
    Keywords : Metal-organic frameworks; zeolitic imidazolate frameworks; carbon capture; gas adsorption; direct ink writing;

    Abstract : Anthropogenic emission of greenhouse gases has long been suspected to contribute to global warming and climate change. Most greenhouse gases are emitted in a mixture, so efficient methods and materials to separate and capture the gases are in demand in order to reduce emissions. READ MORE
