Abstract: This study aims to comprehensively investigate how teachers can create a classroomculture where the students are given the opportunity to develop their speaking abilities andhow teachers can help to alleviate students’ language anxiety. Language anxiety is widelyrecognized as a significant barrier that hampers students' ability to speak confidently inEnglish, particularly in language learning environments. The study underscores the criticalrole of establishing positive and supportive relationships between teachers and students, aswell as creating a classroom culture that nurtures a safe and comfortable space for studentsto take risks and make mistakes. Additionally, the study delves into the importance ofproviding meaningful feedback to students, enabling them to learn from their errors andenhance their spoken English proficiency effectively. Through an in-depth exploration ofthese factors, the study aims to uncover effective strategies that can effectively reducelanguage anxiety and promote the development of spoken English skills. The findings ofthis study contribute significantly to the existing body of knowledge on language anxiety,providing valuable insights for educators seeking to create supportive and empoweringlanguage learning environments. Those key findings include building a good relationshipwith teachers and students, incorporating the sociocultural theory and creating classroomactivities that reduce students’ language anxiety.
