Snack intake control

Abstract: his study examines why it is so easy to over snack and how to use design to better control snack intake. The latest findings have shown the increase of snack consumption and the difficulties of controlling snack intake. Many studies have provided convincing findings to reduce snack/food intake after experiments, in the aspects of psychology, cognition, environment factors, interventions and other forms, yet, they hardly mentioned how to apply those significant findings to the real life. Also, very few products or apps have designed aiming the snack-intake-control area. The difficulty of controlling snack intake can be an important reason of overeating snacks. This report focuses on how to use design to reduce the likelihood of oversnacking.
