  1. 1. Development of a computer vision based real-time feedback system for closed-loop control in 3D concrete printing

    University essay from Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för informationsteknologi

    Author : Julian Kaduk; [2021]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : With 3D concrete printing (3DCP) starting to go beyond small scale novelty projects and the aim to disrupt the construction industry, more development is needed to overcome remaining challenges and improve the processes. Quality assurance and control can be important concerns to gain the confidence of early adopters. READ MORE

  2. 2. X-ray imaging of water flow through soil

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Soil and Environment

    Author : Lorenzo Garbari; [2020]
    Keywords : infiltration; tomography; soil structure; soil porosity; wetting front; x-ray;

    Abstract : In this study a laboratory experiment on preferential flow was conducted with the aim to quantify the importance of water repellency, soil structure and irrigation rate on water infiltration into soil. To do so, the study was conducted as follows: (a) comparison between the wetting fronts of the irrigations done on the same sample; (b) the tortuosity of the wetting fronts, this was analysed calculating a tortuosity index; (c) the average infiltration velocity and (d) a visual comparison between the 3D images. 5. 5. Surface Reconstruction of Objects from Point Sets Gathered with Google Tango

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för datavetenskap och kommunikation (CSC)

    Author : Björn Englesson; [2017]
    Keywords : Surface Reconstruction; Point Set Processing; Google Tango; The Computational Geometry Algorithm Library;

    Abstract : With the rise of accessible, affordable, and portable scanning technologies, new possibilities of making scanning real world objects available for a wider range of applications have emerged. Together with the advancements made in making point set processing and surface reconstruction effcient and easily implementable, it may be possible to combine these to make a portable scanner that produces 3D representations of real world objects that are usable for game development purposes.
