  1. 11. Linear Impact of Bicycle Helmet – Experimental Testing and FE-modelling

    University essay from KTH/Hållfasthetslära

    Author : Ludvig Dahlin; Ebba Larsson Regnström; [2022]
    Keywords : FEM; Finite element method; bicycle helmet; impact modelling; solid mechanics; FEM; Finita element-metoden; cykelhjälm; islagsmodellering; hållfasthetslära;

    Abstract : The aim with this master thesis was to set up a FE-simulation of an impact test of a bike helmet in LS-DYNA that correlates well with the peak acceleration score of a real life impact test. Furthermore, a parametric study has been performed in LS DYNA to investigate the robustness of the model, as well as to see which parameters have a great influence on the peak acceleration score. 2. 12. Cell-sorting in grid-based time-continuous cell population models

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Avdelningen för beräkningsvetenskap

    Author : Joel Olofsson; [2022]
    Keywords : discrete laplacian cell mechanics; DLCM; cell population model; cell sorting;

    Abstract : This thesis extends an existing cell population modelling framework to investigate two different hypotheses for what drives the phenomenon of cell sorting, which is the spontaneous self-reorganization of cell populations. This behaviour cause cells to find their way back into their original configuration after they have been scrambled. READ MORE

  3. 13. Parametric Studies of Train-Track-Bridge Interaction : An evaluation of the dynamic amplification due to track irregularities for freight transport

    University essay from KTH/Bro- och stålbyggnad

    Author : Rasmus Elm Dahlman; Emil Lundberg; [2021]
    Keywords : Dynamics; dynamic amplification factor; railway bridge; train-track-bridge interaction; vehicle model; track irregularities; PSD; Dynamisk förstoringsfaktor; dynamik; järnvägsbroar; tåg-spår-bro interaktion; fordonsmodell; spårojämnheter; PSD;

    Abstract : In this thesis a train-track-bridge interaction (TTBI) model is developed in order to study the dynamic amplification from track irregularities on railway bridges traversed by freight trains. These simulations are of great importance since rail freight transport is expected to increase in order to meet the climate goals. READ MORE

  4. 14. Mobile Payment Adoption During The Covid-19 Pandemic: A Quantitative Study In Germany

    University essay from Jönköping University/IHH, Företagsekonomi

    Author : Niklas Herget; Philip Steinmüller Krey; [2021]
    Keywords : Mobile Payment Adoption; Germany; COVID-19; UTAUT; TAM; DOI; Intention to Use; Technology Adoption; Contactless Payments; M-Commerce; Mobile Point-of-Sale; ApplePay; Digital Wallet;

    Abstract : Background: Emerging in December 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic profoundly changed consumer behaviour leading to social distancing and mitigating physical contact. Statistics show an increased use of contactless and mobile payment usage and adoption during the pandemic. READ MORE

  5. 15. Beyond Mean-Field Description of Bose-Einstein Condensate

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematisk fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Daniel Larsson Persson; [2021]
    Keywords : Bose-Einstein condensate; BEC; dilute; non-uniform; quantum depletion; second quantisation; mean field; mean-field approximation; the Gross-Pitaevskii equation; Gross-Pitaevskii; perturbation theory; many-body perturbation theory; Rayleigh-Schrödinger perturbation theory; Rayleigh-Schrödinger; Epstein-Nesbet perturbation theory; Epstein-Nesbet; quantum ring; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : This thesis work is on the theoretical description of dilute Bose-Einstein condensates (BEC) that are non-uniform, meaning that more than one single-particle state is occupied. This phenomenon is usually called quantum depletion. READ MORE
