1. Comparing machine learning algorithms for detecting behavioural anomalies
University essay from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Institutionen för datavetenskapAbstract : Background. Attempted intrusions at companies, either from an insider threat orotherwise, is increasing in frequency. Most commonly used is static analysis and filters to stop specific attacks. READ MORE

2. Studying Elliptic Flow in High Centrality Pb-Pb Collisions using Proton Collision Background Fitting
University essay from Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysikAbstract : In this report, the elliptic flow in high centrality Pb-Pb collisions is calculated using two particle correlations $v_2\{2\}$ but without any imposed separation in η with data taken from the ALICE experiment at CERN in 2015. Instead, measurements of the same correlations in proton-proton collisions is used as a background to account for non-flow effects and data is correlated between the time projection chamber and the forward multiplicity detectors in order to avoid intra-jet correlations. 3. Event Geometry and Anisotropic Flow in Proton-Proton Collisions
University essay from Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisationAbstract : We seek to better understand the relationship between an anisotropic distribution of partons in the initial state of pp-collisions and the amount of elliptic flow. We do this through the implementation of a new model that is based in generating positions for multiparton interactions from the uneven volume created by the overlap of two Gaussians. READ MORE

4. Principal Component Analyses of Final States in Relativistic Nuclear Collisions using PYTHIA/Angantyr
University essay from Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisationAbstract : We develop a program to perform a principal component analysis of flow fluctuations using simulations of nuclear collisions produced by the PYTHIA/Angantyr event generator. We consider both p+p and p+Pb collision events and study the leading and subleading modes of the second flow harmonic. READ MORE

5. Studies of Possible QGP Estimators in proton-proton Collisions
University essay from Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenAbstract : This thesis presents studies of three different Quark-Gluon Plasma estimators in proton-proton collisions using what is currently believed to be quark-gluon plasma observables; radial flow, elliptic flow and strangeness enhancement. The three tested estimators were Transverse Spherocity, an altered version of Transverse Spherocity where all p_T was put to one, and a newly developed estimator called Mid-Forward. READ MORE
