  1. 6. Den äldre katten och dess beteende och behov : vad är ålder och vad är sjukdom?

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Animal Environment and Health

    Author : Rebecka Åkesson; [2022]
    Keywords : katt; åldrande; sjukdom; beteende; beteendeförändringar; fysiologi;

    Abstract : Many cat owners are not aware of how their cats change while aging nor how to differentiate illness from natural aging. This can result in unnecessary suffering and insufficient veterinary care. READ MORE

  2. 7. Study of hole mobility in amorphous polyethylene via kinetic Monte Carlo methods

    University essay from KTH/Matematik (Avd.)

    Author : Hannes Aspåker; [2022]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : This thesis presents a study of hole mobility in amorphous polyethylene using kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC) methods together with a novel chain segmentation model developed by Unge and Nilsson, which determines hole localization sites based on torsion angles along the polymer chain. An extension to the KMC algorithm was developed which improves performance by modelinground-trips between strongly interconnected localization sites. READ MORE

  3. 8. Performance Analysis Of Massive MIMO With Port Reduction

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Tingrui Zhang; [2022]
    Keywords : 5G NR; Massive MIMO; Fronthaul; Beamforming; Functional split; 5G NR; Massive MIMO; Fronthaul; Beamforming; funktionell uppdelning;

    Abstract : In centralized radio access network (C-RAN) architecture, the base-band unit (BBU) is connected to one or more remote radio units (RRUs) via a fronthaul (FH) interface. Upgrading base station antennas in C-RAN to support massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology can improve network spectral efficiency and largely boost the capacity of the 5G system. 4. 9. Demands of Autonomous Vehicles on Urban Infrastructure : A Study of required transformations and global adaptability to AVs

    University essay from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Institutionen för fysisk planering

    Author : Apsara Waqas; Esayas Shishore; [2021]
    Keywords : Smart city; Smart Mobility; Sustainability; Autonomous mobility; Urban infrastructure; Road network patterns; Land use; IoT; AV navigation;

    Abstract : This paper aims to assess the limits of urban fabric for the autonomous vehicles and demands of AVs on the infrastructure. It includes the existing road situation and required transformation for successful adaptability of this smart mobility in future. READ MORE

  5. 10. Epigenetic and transcriptional effects of full-length LINE-1 retrotransposons in human neural progenitor cells

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Examensarbeten i bioinformatik

    Author : Ninoslav Pandiloski; [2021]
    Keywords : Biology and Life Sciences;

    Abstract : Transposable elements (TE) are parasitic genetic entities that have the ability to alter their position within a genome and have the potential to influence its functionality. Although TEs play beneficial roles in the evolution of their host, they are active in various human disorders including neurological diseases, where may contribute to the progress of the disease.
