   Abstract : This paper studies the possibilities of extending the pixel-based compression algorithm LOCO-I, used by the lossless and near lossless image compression standard JPEG-LS, introduced by the Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) in 1999, to video sequences and very low bit-rates.
