  1. 1. Using Sentinel-2 Satellite Images to Estimate Traits of Forage Grasslands

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Agricultural Research for Northern Sweden

    Author : Niklas Zeiner; [2021]
    Keywords : Remote sensing; Forage grasslands; Sentinel-2; Dry matter yield; Canopy average height; Total leaf chlorophyll content; Partial least squares; Support vector machines;

    Abstract : In this project, regression models based on data from field measurements and spectral information extracted from satellite imagery were used to estimate traits of forage grasslands; dry matter yield, canopy average height and total leaf chlorophyll. Four fields at SLUs Röbäcksdalen field station were sampled on 22 occasions and a total of 198 samples, including measurement of the highest plant, canopy height, leaf chlorophyll content, canopy spectral reflectance and biomass were collected. 3. 3. Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy: Using Multivariate analysis method for determination of tissue optical properties

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Atomfysik

    Author : Hasti Yavari; [2016]
    Keywords : Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy; Multivariate analysis; Least-squares support vector machines; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : Diffuse reflectance Spectroscopy is a non-invasive and real-time technique used both in research and clinical studies for purposes such as identifying tumors and monitoring their response to therapy. Here, a compact, cost-effective and portable experimental setup is used in order to acquire the diffuse reflectance spectra from tissue-like liquid phantoms. READ MORE

  4. 4. Investigation of multivariate prediction methods for the analysis of biomarker data

    University essay from Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologi

    Author : Aron Hennerdal; [2006]
    Keywords : Multivariate analysis; multiple sclerosis; biomarker; predictive modeling; partial least squares; support vector machines; variable selection; bagging; neural networks;

    Abstract : The paper describes predictive modelling of biomarker data stemming from patients suffering from multiple sclerosis. Improvements of multivariate analyses of the data are investigated with the goal of increasing the capability to assign samples to correct subgroups from the data alone. READ MORE
