11. On quantum systems and the measurement problem
University essay from Stockholms universitet/FysikumAbstract : We focus on the Tensor Product Structure (TPS) of the Hilbert space and the fact that a choice in the TPS has an impact on the representation of the studied quantum system. We define the measurement problem in quantum mechanics and present some theories about quantum mechanics, each of them highlighting a different approach to quantum measurements. READ MORE

12. Defining dark jets at the particle level
University essay from Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenAbstract : One hypothesis that attempts to explain dark matter is dark QCD, which suggests that there would be a dark sector made up of dark quarks. Dark quarks would interact with each other through dark QCD similar to how Standard Model quarks interact with each other through Standard Model QCD. READ MORE

13. Real- and Quasi-Atomic Layer Etching for Ultra-High Resolution Patterning
University essay from Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenAbstract : An attempt was made at developing atomic layer etching from a cyclic etching process in an ICP-RIE tool. During the process OES was used for contamination monitoring and estimation of the relative amount of Cl2 left in the chamber during the etch step of cyclic etching processes. READ MORE

14. Probing Charm Production with Three-Particle Correlations in pp Collisions
University essay from Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysikAbstract : This thesis aims to investigate possible correlations between charm production and baryon production in proton-proton collisions through three-particle correlations. The question attempted to be answered is where, for a given charmed baryon, the balancing anti-charm particle and balancing anti-baryon are located. READ MORE

15. Cosmological Horizons and the Unruh Effect
University essay from Uppsala universitet/Teoretisk fysikAbstract : The black hole information paradox, which states that the evaporation of black holes due to Hawking radiation results in a violation of the conservation of quantum information, is arguably one of the most fundamental problems in all of modern physics. Through the equivalence principle, the essence of the problem can be understood and studied in the context of much simpler flat spacetime (described by the theory of special relativity); in this context the Hawking radiation takes the form of the so-called Unruh effect, a thermal effect in the vacuum of a Minkowski quantum field theory that can be measured by accelerated observers.
