    Keywords : Responsibility; Textiles; Footprint; Industrial design; Sustainability; sweat; overwashed; life length; Common sense; Cultural probs; Clothes; Washing; Absorbent; User testing; Product; Sawing; Future; VETT.;

    Abstract : In my master’s degree project in Design at Konstfack, completed and presented during the spring semester of 2022, I combine three of my competencies: Applied knowledge in industrial design, textile and pattern construction and textile materials science. The project was carried out in contact with many different actors, in the industrial design field as well as the textile field. READ MORE

  2. 2. Improvement of Steering Performance of a Two-axle Railway Vehicle via Look-up Tables Estimation

    University essay from KTH/Spårfordon

    Author : Prapanpong Damsongsaeng; [2020]
    Keywords : Two-axle railway vehicle; Active steering system; Look-up tables; Time-varying wheel-rail contact parameters; Två-axligt järnvägsfordon; aktiv styrning; uppslagstabeller; tidsvarierande hjul-rälskontaktparametrar;

    Abstract : A conceptual design of an innovative two-axle lightweight railway vehicle for commuter services is carried out at KTH Railway Group. An active wheelset steering is introduced to improve the curving performance of the vehicle, which is one of the critical performance requirements. READ MORE

  3. 3. The Effect of Geometrical Contact Input to Wheel-Rail Contact Model

    University essay from KTH/Spårfordon

    Author : Michael Martin; [2018]
    Keywords : Wheel-rail contact; geometrical contact input; contact point search; contact patch; rail vehicle.;

    Abstract : Wheel-rail contact is an important aspect of railway, the forces transferred between the wheel and rail are the one that guide, brake, or accelerate the train, and that is why the understanding of the contact between wheel and rail is an interesting research topic. In this master thesis wheel-rail contact model named ANALYN is used to see the effect of the different geometrical input, like undeformed distance, relative longitudinal curvature, and relative lateral curvature calculation affect the contact patch estimation formed at the wheel-rail contact. 4. 4. Constructing supported lipid bilayers from native cell membranes

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Biofysikalisk kemi

    Author : Tommy Dam; [2018]
    Keywords : T cells; Model membrane systems; Supported lipid bilayers; SLB; biophysical chemistry; biofysikalisk kemi; Chemistry;

    Abstract : The aim of this MSc-project was to investigate whether it is possible to incorporate native cell membrane components from Jurkat T cells into supported lipid bilayers, SLBs, to produce a model membrane system better resembling the native cell membranes in T cells. The procedure of forming native-like SLBs (nSLB) was adapted from an existing protocol and is done through the deposition of hybrid vesicles onto a cleaned glass slide. READ MORE

  5. 5. Tire and force distribution modeling and validation for wheel loader applications.

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematik

    Author : John Spencer; Bernhard Wullt; [2017]
    Keywords : Tire model; Force distribution model; Wheel loader; normal force; Magic formula;

    Abstract : This thesis describes the development of a machine force distribution estimator and the calibration of tire models for wheel loader applications. Forces generated in the contact patch between the tires and the ground are crucial for understanding and controlling machine dynamics. READ MORE
