Abstract: Modelling languages like all languages grow and evolve over time. This thesis assists in the evolution of DAVE modelling language, a modelling language used by Jeppesen, a Boeing company to express business-specific data models. The evolution of the DAVE modelling language is achieved by creating a new modelling language that fulfils the functionalities of the DAVE modelling language while also supporting new features such as class mapping and class dependency. In this thesis, different interchange languages were compared and a new modelling language was created based on JSON and DAVE modelling language. A validation tool was designed to validate the new language. To demonstrate the new features, a code-generating tool was also created. The code-generating tool generated programming code that successfully demonstrated class mapping and class dependency.
