    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematik

    Author : William Johansson; [2019]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Skellefteå Kraft has had high CO emissions problems in a bubbling fluidized bed (BFB) boiler in Malå.Statistical emissions data from 2013 to 2019 shows plant average emissions of 1230 ppm. Thisexceeds the recommended 440 ppm (6 % O2) that Naturvårdsverket proposes (Naturvårdsverket,2005). READ MORE

  2. 2. Magnetocrystalline Anisotropy in(FexNi1-x)2B Materials

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Materialteori

    Author : Anders Stangel; [2016]
    Keywords : Magnetocrystalline anisotropy; magnetism; DFT; permanent magnets;

    Abstract : The magnetic properties of the (FexNi1-x)2B family of materials are explored using DFT calculations utilizing the FPLO and SPR-KKR code packages. It is found that a uniaxial magnetocrystalline anisotropy exists at around x = 0.8 with a magnetocrystalline anisotropy energy at around 0.3 MJ/m^3. READ MORE

  3. 3. Results of buyouts in the 1980s and today: A case study of the buyouts of Beatrice (1986) and HCA (2006)

    University essay from Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för finansiell ekonomi

    Author : Oskar Bergius; Martin Daniels; [2006]
    Keywords : LBO; buyout; HCA; KKR; club deal;

    Abstract : This thesis analyzes the leveraged buyouts of the 1980s and of today through three changes to corporate governance that Holmström and Kaplan (2001) saw as a result of an LBO: a resolution of the agency problem, the discipline of debt, and active ownership. By conducting case studies of the Beatrice buyout in 1986 and the HCA buyout in 2006, we will provide practical examples of these three issues, and try to find similarities and differences between the two LBO waves with regards to these three issues.
